The Mighty Philip Scotties.

So I was reading Mindless Eating the other night and in the sidebar they were comparing the menus of two different schools. One of the school listed was Philip High School in South Dakota, home of the Mighty Philip Scotties. Needless to say, I was excited. How many people's names are also full school names?

Scotties

Unfortunately they don't appear to have any t-shirts or anything like that available to buy online. Their school logo, I believe, is clip art from Microsoft Word and their school's address is listed as a post office box. But that does not detract from the school's awesomeness. As you can imagine, the Might Philip Scotties are doing quite well in football this year going 3-0 in their 4-9A conference.

By the way, this says the post is the 100th post but because of things like special posts and things I created for testing it is more like post #95.

Jay I think I may have found the third best Darth Vader costume.

First being the originals in the movies, second being yours that you wore in Cinci and third being this guys: http://www.vaderpainter.com

From there make sure in the props section you go to the blade ones to see the lightsabers. And in the future they plan to make a purple one.

WTF? Ok, Friday Night Lights is struggling in the ratings which I'm not too surprised about due to the fact that it seems to aimed towards football fans who like a good dramatic show. So they are moving the show to a new night to help boast its ratings - Monday night. That's right, the geniuses at NBC have decided that running a Football drama against Monday Night Football is a good idea.

Assholes.

But on the plus side ESPN2Hd, TNTHD and MTVHD all go live tomorrow. Sweet action.

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 7:49 AM

Friday Night Lights was decent last night. I watched a little bit of it between innings. I like how the coach told the QB to loosen up on the field by nailing his daughter. Fantastic plot.

Weeds is pretty good, but the vast majority of it isn't masturbation jokes...

Jay on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 8:52 AM

Brock, I won't be able to make it to the killswitch show. I told my mom I'd house sit that weekend. I know, I'm gay.

that's bullshit, you can only submit one barneyism, i have like 20 that would be good.

how to make a secret bookshelf door
http://pervivere.blogspot.com/2005/...nit-batman.html

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:17 AM

I'm so putting one of those in my wall of porn

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:55 AM

where the hell's your wall of porn?

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:56 AM

When I put it up I will install the secret door

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:59 AM

u should install a secret door that leads to a room of porn, full of inflatable sex dolls, piles and piles of porn movies, and an assortment of fun sex toys to be enjoyed on new year's eve just before you pass out on top of a girl u don't know.

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:02 PM

A secret entry to a sex dungeon. I bet the bitches would love that shit.

Bigworm on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:03 PM

You know it, or a VIP room that has a leather sofa (easy cleanup) and a stripper pole.

Jay on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:04 PM

How much would it cost to build a brass stripper pole? Joe, you need to look into that.

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:08 PM

Where the door to my bedroom is install a bookcase. I'd be walking a girl down the hallway and be all smooth, I've got this book I'd like you to take a look at. Are you familiar with "The Game: Penetrating the secret society of the Pickup artist"? Take a look at it. As she goes for the book the shelf pops open and Marvin Gaye is playing. I have no clue where this room came from.

Marc on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:08 PM

The Stripper pole could double as a "fireman's pole" to get from upstairs to downstairs. Although, if things go well for Joe's fireman tryout, then maybe he'll be to tired riding poles at work. Oh yes, I went there.

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:09 PM

Touche Marc

Marc on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:12 PM

When we buy your next-door neighbor's house. we'll put in a stripper pole and secret room. I mean think of the resell value. Would you NOT buy a home that had a secret room behind a bookshelf? Maybe another room has a huge floor-to-ceiling painting, and opens up a corridor to another end of the house (like in clue) or a grandfather clock that pops open with a hidden ladder into a closet upstairs. (like in Webster.)

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:16 PM

We discovered an entire floor of this building I work in that hasn't been used in about 20 years. Perhaps I can do these secret passages in my offoce.

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:32 PM

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 12:33 PM

scroggin wanted us to go to tailgater's after the concert, they're having some big halloween party there, and since bryce is part-owner of tailgaters now, we get in free.

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 1:49 PM

Heading up to the box office soon. Tailgaters? That place is still open? How is Bryce part owner?

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 2:58 PM

i guess i actually am working, bryce is part owner b/c he and his partner bought part of it. bryce is making way too much money right now, his lucky ass landed the perfect internship in college which turned into the perfect job, he and his partner are currently in california touring some internet company they're about to buy into.

douglas on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 3:23 PM

joe on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 3:25 PM

I just walked over to the Gardens and picked up 3 tickets to the concert. Nothing is funnier then the reaction of the person at the ticket office when I walk up and ask for 3 Godsmack tickets while wearing my work attire.

Ask.com has a new map tool that is like google maps, but has some neat features like being able to add multiple destinations when getting driving directions, and also getting walking distances.

Here's the directions from my old parents house to my condo:

Click on walking on the left hand side to see the more efficient directions that just ignore one way streets and the such. Kinda cool.

Football this weekend...Saturday or Sunday? UL is off and UK plays Mississippi State. No conflicts there.

Phil on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 9:06 AM

when I checked the weather it was looking like a 20% chance of rain on saturday with a high of 53, and sunday said it would be partly cloudy with a high of 58.

I'm good for either day.

Jay on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 9:10 AM

I'm saying Sunday, because I will be driving back into town on Saturday, and I sincerely doubt I could make it by noon. Well, I could make it, but I sincerely doubt that Adrian will be in any kind of shape to drive before then.

dist. mgr. here, i won't be here much today

Jay on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 10:39 AM

Okay, I just heard some type of vibrating sound coming from the girls cube next to mine. It didn't last very long, so I'm assuming it was a cell phone or something. But up here (points to head) it's game on. Bow chicka wow wow.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 10:43 AM

so guy in the cube next to me just told me an interesting story.

"So my wife is riding me reverse last night and my 5 year old daughter busts in the door. Talk about an interesting breakfast this morning. I don't know who it is more traumatic for me or my daughter. I hope I don't find her killing people on the highway when she figures out what we were doing."

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:00 PM

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:03 PM

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:04 PM

Scary bitches. tuck my head ad run

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:06 PM

Probably for the best.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:11 PM

Chris, if you take call tomorrow I will kill you. If you aren't there it will be a lot harder to get away from B-Mac at the concert. I'm really uncertain about B-Mac at this concert.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:12 PM

If he does the arm tap lean in to have a conversation during the show I will punch him, or if he shows up in khakis and a collared.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:13 PM

*shirt

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:22 PM

i'll be in my usual concert garb, wife beater and old jeans.

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:22 PM

he will so get punched if he wears khakis and collars

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:23 PM

WHo will he get punched by first...us or an angry mosh pit?

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:24 PM

Don't worry about ditching B-mac. Just take him to the mosh pit and push him in. Things will then take care of themselves.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:25 PM

Are we going to do the pre-concert party with the Fox at the Pub?

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:30 PM

I heard about the pre-show, what is going on at it? I might just not leave work and go straight over there.

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:31 PM

yeah, i heard about that too, i'm down for whatever

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:31 PM

i can't wait to throw him in the mosh, that poor kid won't know what the fuck to do

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:35 PM

the opener for breaking benjamin is "Hour Cast." Never heard of them. I really see B-Mac getting pissed of at the show.

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:37 PM

Maybe you guys should explain the mosh pit to B-Mac like a sport. Tell him how competitive it can be and the goal is to prove you are a man. That is the only way I see B-Mac entering a mosh pit.

Jay on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:37 PM

Why the hell does Bmac even want to go? It's not like they're going to play "turn the page".

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:40 PM

just call him a pussy

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 12:41 PM

The fox just promoted the field of screams by saying their own Shannon "the dude" Grigsby will be there.

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:04 PM

I like Godsmack, but I probably wouldn't hang out in the mosh pit either. I just like to hang back and enjoy the music.....I dont' have to get myself in a freaking rage and slam myself into other people to enjoy the music. I am guessing B-Mac is much the same way.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:56 PM

The only problem with that is B-mac probably doesn't even know who Godsmack is. So whether he is in the pit or not it's a waste of space for him to be there. As far as moshing goes, it's the only way to get the full experience of a concert. Anyway the music is written to evoke a response, and getting riled up and smashing some heads is one way to express this.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:58 PM

Joe/Douglas, didn't some chick at the last Godsmack concert get practically gangbanged when she got up on some dude's shoulders while wearing a dress to show her tits?

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:59 PM

yes, yes she did. Dumb bitches at concerts. You don't want to get molested don't wear a skirt.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM

I like the Flaw concert where Jay had the chick on his shoulders.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM

And continuing the mosh pit discussion, the last Godsmack concert had to be the best moshing I've seen with Damageplan (at Jillian's) having a close second.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:01 PM

She was asking for it right?

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:03 PM

You know you're in a quality hospital when a guy sporting a superb mullet steps on the elevator with you reeking of alcohol...I love University patients!

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:11 PM

As long as the fuckers like at the Avenge Sevenfold concert don't fuck shit up by simply walking through tthe concert and not moshing but picking out helpless people in the crowd and jumping them I am cool with mosh pits.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 3:08 PM

I have a message on my answering machine at home from Scott Clark from the fox wanting me to return his call. He didn't answer. Maybe I won something.

Phil on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 3:13 PM

The acronym bee was a slaughter. Apparently there were complaints last year regarding it being "too easy" so the cock sucker who comes up with the answer did what any nerd who thought his man hood was questioned would do: come up with questions nobody could get to "prove" that he could come up with hard ones.

The only team that answered more than 10% of their questions right was the team from Bellsouth and that's only because there were a lot of acronyms specific to the telecommunication industry.

The only ones I knew were NVRAM and MotD.

Jerome on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 3:18 PM

I didn't even know those two. If they REALLY wanted to embarass some of these nerds, they should've put stuff like ERA, RBI, BB, HBP, 3PT, FGM/FGA, PG, SG, SF, PF, C, AST, TO, QB, LB, WR, RB, TE ... fuckin' nerds.

Phil on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 3:22 PM

Speaking of the Avenged Sevenfold mosh pit, there were those tiny girls who got in, and completely kicked each other's asses. It was awesome. Yeah those guys that went around swinging and trying to start fights were total douchebags. Go Head Automatica!

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 3:57 PM

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 4:07 PM

Phil on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 4:08 PM

congrats joe!

Breaking Benjamin wrote some of the music on Halo 2. Fucking nerds.

joe on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 5:32 PM

Does anyone have x box or x box 360 and madden? They said I might play the band in Madden 07 if they have it set up and I have never played madden.

Brock on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 6:33 PM

Joe, kill yourself for never playing Madden, you are not a man. You are not worthy of such prizes.

You should just lie and act like you know how to play Madden.

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 6:50 PM

Joe - how did you win that?

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 6:52 PM

douglas on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 6:53 PM

and he registered online

Marc on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 8:18 PM

I feel like a real Bellarmine student right now. I'm in the BU library typing up a few pieces for my paper and presentation for this saturday morning. Woohoo. Sadly, I am unable to find any skanky girls to bone me in the stacks, nor can I find the once-revered "Hot Chicks Folder." Oh well, pretty much like my first college experience in that same way.

Phil on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 10:02 PM

Joe, I have NCAA 07 which is pretty much the same thing

Bigworm on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 10:22 PM

You got 1/2 of it right Douglas.

He is The Man The Legend.

Marc on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:01 PM

Holy shit, an XBOX 360?! That'll make Natty Sci's secret bunker (Joe's place) even sweeter. I recommend putting it in the first floor tv room. I mean I realize this would be the most likely scenario. But just wanted to stress that I think the basement should be, like it always is, for ping pong, kegs, old NES, and awkward B-mac hookups.

Jay on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 6:47 AM

Well done Joe. The question is, are you going to know how to use it. The last system you had was the original playstation. How do you think the two will compare?

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 8:24 AM

So I asked around the neighborhood and all anybody had was madden on playstation 2. It is basically the same as my NCAA game from 1999-2000. X box is different though. I plan on winging it. I also freshened up on my Breaking Benjamin music. I might just be like I don't play xbox and I am just here to see Godsmack, you guys suck.

Jay on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 8:58 AM

Nice. You still get the xbox 360 though, right?

jen on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 10:44 AM

XBOX XBOX XBOX XBOX XBOX

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:32 AM

the excitement is overwhelming

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:36 AM

fo shizzle

jen on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:36 AM

Well, my boss put his hand through a window last night (said he fell in the garage and put his hand out to break his fall... on a window pane) so he had to have surgery and isnt here today. Bad for him. Good for me!

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 12:08 PM

I just went to eb games on 4th street to get a feel for the xbox 360 controller

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 12:18 PM

joe, my tip is to play as the ravens. Probably the best defense in the game so as long as you stick with something simple like a cover 2 out of the 4-3 you won't give up too many big plays. Although I have to assume that these guys will be trying to go deep over and over so you might want to go cover 3 out of the nickel or dime.

And the offense is going to be good enough to move the ball with some consistency.

Jay on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 12:30 PM

This place is kind of dead today. I guess everyone is excited about the stagger/xbox 360. And I'm leaving work in 45 minutes. Sweet.

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 12:56 PM

so we still have people playing football this sunday, right? It looks like both Goodloes are out so if anyone can find 4 more people bring them along. The more the merrier.

adrian on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 12:59 PM

Why am I going to be out for?

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM

you didn't show up last week and this week you never said you were interested. I just assumed you pussed out. By all means get your ass out there!

Jay on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:01 PM

I will certainly be there.

adrian on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:04 PM

Lets see here, i rarely read the sci anymore and you give me a call a few minutes before you are getting ready to play. Hum...

Jay on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:05 PM

Well, adrian, now you know we are playing sunday at noon. Be there. I'm getting ready to leave. See you in about 5 hours.

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:46 PM

I think we all need to get psyched. http://video.google.com/videoplay?d...+tent&hl=en

douglas on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 1:54 PM

we have 4 different air fresheners in our bathroom at work. i feel it's necessary to tell you i needed all 4 to cover up what i just did in there

Bigworm on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM

Hmmmm...maybe I will consider it too.

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM

I just had sweet and sour chicken. Give me 45 mintues and I will be right there doing the same.

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:04 PM

While I was at EB Games I saw a game I want. It was WWE Smackdown vs. RAW. Instead of watching Smackdown while we drink on Fridays we can play it.

douglas on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:16 PM

Genius!

douglas on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:25 PM

actually we'll need two tvs, one to watch and one to play

joe on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:33 PM

I currently have the 2 tvs hooked up in the tv room

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:33 PM

Real???

Does it matter?

No seriously, can anyone find anything on this? I've photoshopped some miracles in my day, but I can't find a flaw, even the wrinkling on her dress is realistic.

Green Baron on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 3:00 PM

Oh yah, that's Christina Aguilera's boob for those at work.
But come on, who doesn't want to see her boob? I'm sure your boss does.

douglas on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 3:05 PM

13 seconds is my best

Phil on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 3:07 PM

real pick of the one the baron posted:

Damn thumbnail queue I just wanna see a boob but I can't click the link

Green Baron on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 4:51 PM

You believe what you wanna believe Phil......FAG!

"If lovin' Christina Aguilera's boobs is wrong, I don't wanna be right"

Bigworm on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 5:00 PM

Big rule change in the SEC this year for basketball. Refs will no longer award coaches a timeout when they are in the air about to go out of bounds or a backcourt violation. Players must have 1 foot in contact with the court.

Kind of sucks for the good defensive hustle play, but it will probably even out in the long run.

Bigworm on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 5:01 PM

shit, award a player a timeout...I am retarded.

douglas on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 5:07 PM

yes, yes are you retarded, but i hear that's what happens when you get married, so you're not alone

Bigworm on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 5:10 PM

Hahahahaha.

"yes, yes are you retarded, but i hear that's what happens when you get married, so you're not alone"

You are retarded and not married. Way to fuck up a wicked burn.

Bigworm on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 5:11 PM

I set the spike and you kind of knocked it out of bounds. Close but no cigar.

Brent on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 6:06 PM

I got 26 seconds on Phil's crazy balance game.

Marc on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11:31 PM

I got 30.058 seconds on Phil's crazy balance game. and then it speed's up quicker and quicker.

Wrecking Crew on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 8:32 AM

Godsmack is a fucking awesome band...So much better in concert than their albums. I hurt today though. It will only make me feel better to know that I may have hurt some people more than myself.

And Breaking Benjamin sucks ass.

joe on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 3:55 PM

Nothing classier then Chris, Cuban and me going to CVS in 4th Street Live, buying a fifth of Beam and some coke and killing it on the two block walk to the Gardens and in the parking lot while waiting for B-mac and Douglas. Also, nothing better then being in a mosh pit knowing that There is Chris, Cuban, Douglas and B-mac with your back. Concerts are good when you have numbers and people bigger then you.

Cuban on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 4:20 PM

Godsmack was Awesome,

I am really sore. I want to congragulate Bmac for only leaving the crowd once.

Jay on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 8:04 PM

Nicely done, Bmac.

Phil on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 3:38 PM

Great awkward silence on this video:
http://thewizardofodds.blogspot.com...-kinda-gay.html

Btw, I managed to lose my fucking glasses somewhere at seneca park. WTF?

Brent on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 5:44 PM

Luckily, he was announcing football, so chances are he wont have to worry about getting fired for that one, that is, unless Adrian complains.

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:29 AM

My right knee hurts right now. Other than that, i feel pretty good.

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 7:46 AM

My hammy hurts

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 9:33 AM

Big Jay,

I forgot to tell you that when I left your apartment Saturday, i stopped by eb games to pre order that game. As soon as I walked in a saw the PS3 display and got caught up into reading the system specs and looking at the games coming out for it. Then i noticed the Wii's display and started looking at it's specs and games. At that point i completely forgot to order that game.

Luckily, in Sundays paper, circuit city had it advertised for 37.99 so i plan on going there on tuesday to buy it. I know it is not the collectors edition but hell it is 23 dollars cheaper.

The PS3 is going to be bad ass but very very very expensive!

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:34 AM

I am trying to find a video of dicky lyons one handed catch against miss state.

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:39 AM

Yeah I have been looking for that as well. Apparently it was a pretty impressive TD catch.

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:40 AM

My groin is sore.

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:43 AM

I saw the catch on sport center but a co-workers doesn't believe how awesome the catch was.

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:16 AM

did the catch make sportcenter top plays because there was no way in hell the UK - Miss. State game made sportscenter.

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:22 AM

Hum...maybe it wasn't sportscenter. I was flipping through the channels at about 2:00 this morning and some channel was showing highlights of the game.

It is the best catch i have seen this season. In my opinion it ranks up near Prothros catch for Alabama.

Jay on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:35 AM

Is everyone at least on the road to recovery? Adrian- I found out about your girl in red. Her name's Veronica, and I believe she is single. Apparently, she crashed at Amber's house that night. Maybe we should have gone there instead.

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:41 AM

Jay, tell Amber to tell Veronica that I want to do her...TWICE!

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 12:12 PM

I found the video.

go to http://www.ukathletics.com/

click on videos on the front page and it is the pounder (not to confuse with adrian wanting to pound her) play of the week.

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 12:15 PM

I am guessing at first they ruled him out of bounds, but perhaps it was overturned because that was his TD catch of the game.

Pretty awesome.

Jay on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 12:30 PM

Alright, adrian.

adrian on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 12:40 PM

Jay, I just bought the strategy guide. It is like a fucking novel.

Jay on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:20 PM

Did you get the regular one, or the special edition? Strategy guide, I mean?

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:25 PM

So we have a black guy, an guy from India me and another white guy and we are copming up with costume ideas for work tomorrow:

#1 the president, 2 secret service guys and a terrorist
#2 Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and 2 caddies
#3 Trying to manipulate the A Team somehow

Any other ideas?

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:27 PM

The best part of the golf one is playing golf all day in the halls. The president one is good because we will tackle the Indian guy all day.

Phil on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:34 PM

If one of them is fat you could be Fat, Horny, Black and Joe

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 1:51 PM

Joe - if you want to make things really interesting for the Indian fellow, make him wear this t-shirt.

http://www.terrortshirt.com/

Jay on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 2:03 PM

You can never go wrong with the A-team.

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 2:04 PM

And we have the real black guy

Phil on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 2:28 PM

Jay on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:18 PM

Adrian- I just saw some photos and videos from the stagger. There is a pretty good video of you and lindsey dancing at the bottom. When we watched it, she said "I don't even remember dancing with him".

Also, I found out Veronica has a kid.

douglas on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:43 PM

being busy sucks

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:43 PM

Joe - how is the hammy?

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:46 PM

I think I gave myself frost bite when I fell asleep for a couple hours with ice on. I have it wrapped so tight right now I can't feel my leg. It doesn't hurt as bad as I was expecting. Believe me, it still hurts.

Joanna on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:47 PM

For you computer experts out there, if my hard drive is good but I get a new computer, could I add the existing hard drive to my new setup for more memory or whatever? Or is it adding apples to oranges? Thanks!

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:47 PM

Glad to hear it. In my opinion, the worst part with those types of injuries is hobbling around.

joe on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:49 PM

I can't walk steps

Phil on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 3:56 PM

Joanna, I don't think your hard drive had any problems so you can add it to a new computer. It'll just show up as your E drive (or something like that). Sorry I couldn't revive it, but it seems like it was struggling pretty bad.

If you have any questions on what to buy I can help out with specs.

One thing that you might want to keep in mind is that a new version of Windows is coming out within the next month or so. I'd almost be tempted to hold out to get that bundled with the computer. It looks like Dell is including a coupon for a free upgrade, but I'd think that would be a pain in the butt.

Brock on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 4:02 PM

When I bought my Dell 5 years ago, it came with Windows ME, but came with a free upgrade to XP when it was released... no problems with that.

douglas on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 4:42 PM

jay, maybe you should try one of these:

Happy Belated Birthday Big Jay

Bigworm on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:11 PM

Just finished watching Friday Night Lights, have to say pretty decent show. I didn't expect a whole lot out of it, but came away pleasantly surprised.

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 8:05 AM

I didn't see last nights episode, but the couple before that have been pretty decent.

Joanna on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 8:23 AM

Phil- I'll take any advice I can get. We don't do much with games or anything, and I plan on getting an external harddrive so I can store pictures on it. What kind of memory/hard drive (if I can add on my current) do you think I need? Any good features to have? Is a digital flat screen monitor really that much better than an analog? Etc. etc. Anything helpful is greatly appreciated.

Jay on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 8:38 AM

Thanks, Brock. I was a little upset with heroes last night. They made the one girl a spy. I was really hoping they wouldn't do that.

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:13 AM

it was disappointing b/c it was almost too obvious, and it seems that would be such an easy plotline for her to be a spy, that's why it sucks, it was way too predictable

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:38 AM

I just recieved an invite to a party over work email. I'm guessing you all are all invited. Apparently I am hosting one November 11th. I was just informed when the flyer went out by a coworker. Is this a good day to drink?

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:43 AM

Adrian - here is another video of the Dicky Lyon's TD catch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3McA4XW1b84

Jay - I agree with Heroes.

Jay on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:51 AM

The only way they can redeem her is if they make her like a double agent. Like, she's really just keeping tabs on Creepy McCreepsalot. Other than that, It's still pretty cool. November 11th is great. I'm off the friday before.

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10:13 AM

tell them to make the party nov. 10th

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:02 AM

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:23 AM

Anybody up for rocking out this weekend? Party might be moved.

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:28 AM

screw it I say we rock out hardcore friday night no matter what.

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:28 AM

What party are you talking about?

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:31 AM

My coworkers that don't know how to rock out are planning a party at my house. I'm trying to get them to set a date that Natty Sci representation will be able to rock out hard-core and put them to shame which doesn't take much. And for the record you all won't be the oldest people there and I am not the youngest.

It sounds like Douglas, Laura, B-mac and I have decided to rock out hard this weekend anyways. Who is game?

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:36 AM

Wow, so you just want to show them how people really rock out huh.

Question - Is this party going to require the appearance of The Man The Legends?

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:37 AM

Only reason why I ask is because some people can handle that kind of rocking out, others cannot.

So is this going to be a Beyond Thunderdome type of party?

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:39 AM

Honestly, I say that an old school typical weekend would be legendary status for them. Coworkers have seen me on average weekends and think that I am at some amazing level of drunk when it is actually nothing.

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:42 AM

so it wasn't gay until i said the gorilla was affectionate? that's true, affection is gay

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:46 AM

correct.

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11:49 AM

i was actually going to follow up the affection post with something top notch, but i got a call, and then an appointment showed up

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 12:00 PM

Work is overrated

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 12:02 PM

very much so, and i don't think ur coworkers could handle a full rock out night with us. i remember hanging out with them at 4th Street when i was only tipsy and i think i scared them all. really.

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 12:04 PM

we don't need casualties just stories

Jay on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 12:13 PM

I'll do my best, but I'm not going to drink. I'll just have to go old school jay (before I ever drank), and rock out anyway. I don't need liquor to go crazy.

adrian on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 12:32 PM

Jay, I just picked up a copy of FF12. I had to buy the collectors edition though and there was only 1 left since i didn't pre-order it.

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 1:39 PM

Jay - I don't think any of us NEED to get drunk to rock out, we just LOVE to get drunk and rock out.

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 1:46 PM

Besides, the true essence of a Natty Sci evening is getting smashed and piecing the stories back together. Always makes for a more entertaining evening......for the next morning.

I believe we realized early on that it isn't necessarily how grand the evening was, but how great the re-told story is that destines one for greatness.

douglas on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 1:49 PM

yeah, like the time the homeless guy pulled the gun on us on our way to 4th Street after Chris's wedding, that was fucked up.

So our costume ideas fell through and my buddy Terry and I just decided to be lazy and take advantage of the oppurtunity to dress down at work so we just wore scrubs. We finished 4th in a costume contest, 3 votes away from a gift card to a gas station. We kept alternating between dr. turk and dr. dorian from Scrubs and the white doctor and the black doctor from Grey's Anatomy. He was the black one I was the white one.

Jay on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 2:44 PM

I like the dr. turk/ dr. dorian thing. Did you guys actually act like them? Or did you just wear the scrubs?

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:16 PM

Damn it, the websense category "tasteless" is filtered. How am I able to get to the Sci then?

So we go thunderdome in old school sci fashion either 11/4, 11/10, or 11/11. I'm off 4-5, 8-16, 21, 24-30. We make it our halloween party a couple weeks late. It's a helluvan idea.

Brock on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:17 PM

Did someone say Halloween party?

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:18 PM

As of now B-mac, Douglas, Laura and I are rocking out Friday night with wussing out being punishable by ridicule and mockery. As for the work party, who the fuck knows.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:18 PM

If we really want to freak them out why don't we get as many people as we can to do the slipknot-type mask thing. Of course if we all show up in tights that might freak them out too.

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:18 PM

Thanksgiving Halloween party?

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:19 PM

douglas only rocks out on Friday nights. I guess I can convince Laura and B-mac to rock out Saturday too. B-mac is out of commission the following weekend.

joe on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:22 PM

Eraserhead, bitches!

Brock on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:39 PM

The only reason why Eraserhead is on there is because of the horror that goes on in the room while you watch it. People are tearing their eyes out because of the boredom and killing each other because you're going insane watching that piece of shit.

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 4:49 PM

The International Coating Expo is down in New Orleans going on today thru Thursday or friday. I think I would avoid New Orleans at all costs for a while.

Brock on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 5:02 PM

Coating as in Coats? Or coating as in paint products. Either/or I don't get your point.

Jay on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 5:03 PM

Big Jay is ready to rock out any night of the week. Provided I have enough time to run first. And eraser is one of the shittiest movies ever made.

Brock on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 5:04 PM

Yes, Eraser, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the worst movies, but Eraserhead is even worse.

Marc on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 5:10 PM

I like the costume party idea. Since we didn't do it this year. Plus, I got a great costume I have yet to wear that will make the panties soak, and then drop. (Marcus Brody - Nothing but Class, Name's on the door.)

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:16 PM

Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat are playing tonight on TNTHD! All I know is, if this first game is any indication as to what the Bulls are going to do this year, they will be the champs. Chicago is man handling the Heat. Tyrus Thomas and big Ben Wallace is a very scary interior defensive presence.

Bigworm on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:18 PM

Coatings as in paint products. My point is if I turned down going to New Orleans for free, I am sure as hell not going to pay to go down there at this point in time.

Adrian, I picked up FFXII yesterday. What do you think? I like the battle system. It's very similar to knights of the old republic. Is it just me, or does Ashe look a lot like Yuna?

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 9:43 AM

You know what is fun, scaring the shit out of people. the only problem with it is if you sit and act like a dummy, people will kick and hit you to see if you are a dummy. It is a sacrifice you must take to traumatize people on halloween.

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 9:47 AM

Joe, a co-worker asked me to go to that game tonight. I still might go to it just to see Terance Farley dunk on people.

Jay, FF12 looks great. The graphics are awesome plus i like how you see all the enemies on the open plain and no more random battles. I was reading in the Guide about the weapons and i am kind of pissed that xcalibur is not in the swords list. Stupid Fucking Japs!

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 10:15 AM

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:13 AM

Joe, you are getting raped in this fantasy hockey trade. Jerome and I want to vote against it. Defend yourself.

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:20 AM

How am I getting raped in that trade? Little League World Series hero Chris Drury is good and pascal isn't bad. Yes Ryan Miller is on fire but it has to come to an end eventually and Ribero sucks

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:21 AM

Maybe I'm just desperate for another solid goalie. Hey Wes, you up for a trade? I'll give you the #1 player in the league right now (Petr Sykora) for Manny Fernadez

Jerome on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:28 AM

My argument is that Ryan Miller's gonna get you more points in the long run - single-handedly too because of the way the scoring works (scoring is REALLY nice, in my opinion. It's different from other stuff and makes it fun). Drury is really good, but will just be a contributor to your overall since so many players' performances compose your offense numbers.

My other argument is that rape is like candy.

Jay on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:28 AM

You guys need to quit hatin'. I'm actually going out tonight. What are you going to do douglas, sit at home and watch the wire?

Jay on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:29 AM

How is rape like candy, Jerome?

douglas on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:30 AM

i just checked hockey league, and over half of my team is NA or on the DL. i should probably start paying attention.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:31 AM

The NA is just a bug with Yahoo today.

douglas on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:32 AM

oh, i thought something was up, i was just checking other teams and everybody's like that.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:40 AM

ok, wes. Trade proposed. #1 player in the league AND my #2 goalie for Manny and a winger

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:52 AM

Douglas that is the same shit with me. Mine is more like 75% though.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 11:57 AM

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 12:04 PM

Hopefully petrino sees this and realizes he should stay

Jay on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 12:21 PM

Well, talking shit backfired, because my buddy said he wouldn't make it tonight because no one else is going. I suck.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 12:27 PM

Petrino should stay becaue he makes $2M dollars a year at a perineal top 25 school. You don't make that kind of money at any other top 25 school.

Of course his job is to make them a top 15 team every year, which should be relatively easy to do.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 12:29 PM

perineal = perinneal.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 1:41 PM

Come on Wes, I neeeeeeeeeed a goalie and you are loaded at goalie!

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:11 PM

Too bad goalies can't play every position cause I am stacked!

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:11 PM

Sweeting the pot and I will do it

Marc on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:13 PM

yeah, throw in a website that caters to user-submitted videos of bloopers, daily show clips, snl sketches, etc. give the rights to wes, so he can sellout of Google. And then he'll trade you.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:13 PM

Fuck yeah I will!

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:13 PM

not snl sketches....I think they own them.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:25 PM

Phil just send me a trade.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:39 PM

I've already proposed a trade on there. Petr Sykora & Raycroft for Manny & Selanne. Basically #1 player overall and #16 goalie for #2 goalie (you also have the #1 goalie) and #153 overall player.

douglas on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:40 PM

john l's out:
http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6125310

Jay on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:53 PM

Dammit. That fox sports site is blocked.

douglas on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 2:57 PM

here's the gist: john l. sucks at coaching and at life in general, so msu has forced him to resign, although he says he's doing it on his own, which we know is not the case. the shitty part for msu is that they still have to pay a shitload of money to john l., even though he sucked as the football coach and didn't meet any expectations he was hired to achieve.

Jay on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 3:00 PM

Nice. I just read an article about it on courier-journal's website. Apparently, his first season at MSU was good.

I am reading a book written by Jim Belushi and he just explained a sexual maneuver he referred to as the Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. In this move you take of running and leap from the foot of the bed and not only land on your partner but in your partner.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 3:52 PM

the other option is to download an emulator:
http://applewin.berlios.de/

and then at the bottom of the virtual apple page that I linked to that have a spot to download the ROM (basically the floppy disk in zip format)

Unzip them all in one big folder and then start up virtualWin.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 3:58 PM

Joe - don't start those rumors.

Phil on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:00 PM

ok, step by step instructions because this took me a second to figure out.

Unzip Applewin and the two oregon trail disks into one big folder.

Double click AppleWin.exe

A big gay purple window opens up.

"Insert disk 1" - click on the icon that says "Master 1" and choose Oregon Trail Disk 1.bin. Then click the apple icon to "turn on the computer."

When it says to insert disk two click on the "Master 1" icon and choose Oregon Trail Disk 2.bin and then hit spacebar to continue.

Piece of cake.

Brock on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:07 PM

Its almost easier to go out and buy an old Apple IIe and play the thing.

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:12 PM

Wes, I just work with what I hear

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:13 PM

Joe - stop the rumors.

I heard Barnhardt was taking a look at another coach.

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:14 PM

Ron Cooper is an excellent choice

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:16 PM

Nah - he is with South Carolina. We already saw how that hire turned out at a school with much lesser competition than what UK plays year in and year out.

We aren't going to make that mistake.

joe on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:24 PM

I seriously did hear the john l talk. Ron Cooper I am just fucking aroud with. Steve Marriuci is taking over Michigan State.

Bigworm on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:27 PM

Honestly, I doubt that Rich Brooks gets fired after this year. If UK fires him that sets the program back another 4 years. Might as well let him stick out his 5 years and then don't renew him.

I just hope they fire Mike Archer after this year.

adrian on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:34 PM

I heard Petrino was looking at Auburn...Weird!

douglas on Wednesday, November 01, 2006 at 4:35 PM

yeah, i heard about mariucci, brooks won't be going anywhere, especially if they can pull out a bowl appearance. next year is his first year w/ full scholarships. u have to remember uk is playing like 7 freshman on defense right now, u can't pin uk sucking the past couple years on brooks, he hasn't had the bodies

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 9:36 AM

C-A-R-D-S. I like the look of these freshman. Jerry Smith with the Chris Sabo goggles, Caracter is a big boy in the paint, Sosa teaming up with Palacios on Dino's boys the Hispanic connection, Earl Clark has some work to do. Farley and Huffman and Mcgee still suck.

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 9:41 AM

that game tonight...I don't think Lindsey Wilson can match up down low with Randolph Morris

Phil on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 9:54 AM

wes - hockey trade. I'm already giving up my #2 goalie and the #1 player in the league. You need offensive, I need goalies. Let's make this happen!

douglas on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 9:59 AM

uk is playing lindsey wilson huh? is it on tv? should be a close game...

adrian on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:00 AM

My co-worker who went to the game pretty much bashed Terrance Williams and praised Derek Caracter. He said that no one will be able to stop him unless they double team him and he is the best freshman big man he has ever seen. He also said that Caracter was rated higher the Odin his sophomore and junior years and that Odin couldn't even hang with him.

So then i asked him if Caracter looked better than Hansbrough did his freshman year. His response "Hell Yeah!"

I tried to keep a straight face as he was telling me this, then i couldn't take it anymore and busted out laughing telling him to shut the fuck up.

douglas on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:06 AM

so your co-worker came to the conclusion that caracter is the best freshman big man he's ever seen after watching him in an exhibition game against an NAIA school? he's a bright one

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:07 AM

He's no terrance farley

adrian on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:08 AM

You have no idea how hard it was for me to keep a straight face.

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:08 AM

he looked good last night, but I wouldn't raise hi to that level yet.

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:12 AM

I personally like Sosa the most of this class so far.

Brock on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:13 AM

And UC is going all the way this year... I know this because they beat Northern KY by 46 points last night. At one point in the first half it was 48-9. I leaned over and asked someone if this was a Bears-49ers game.

You can ALWAYS judge a season by how bad you kick the crap out of a Div II school....

unless you only beat them by 2 and let them score 92 points on you.

douglas on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:16 AM

i mean fuck, i could've played at an naia school and i didn't even play basketball my sr. year of high school

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:21 AM

My theory is that UL could have beaten them by 50 if they wanted to. These young guys were disciplined enough to try to run the offense they are learning and fuck it up. If they wanted to be UC and run all over a DII school and streetball it up and not develop their game at all they could have. Almost every guy on UL proved that they can say fuck the offense we are learning and score at will on a Georgetown guy, but then they went back to trying to learn Pitino's style.

Bigworm on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:23 AM

Adrian - tell your co-worker he is a retard.

Phil on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:24 AM

My theory is that Bellarmine college is going to win it all this year!

Jay on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:25 AM

Bullshit, Phil, it's Bellarmine University now!

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:26 AM

Never accepted the BU conversion?

joe on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:27 AM

Just wait till we run the A-10

Phil on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:43 AM

Wes, you are killing me here. Douglas even picked up Ollie the Goalie while I've been waiting.

Marc on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:43 AM

Not working kicks ass. I was going to observe at a Middle School again today. But feel a little under the weather. Being at home right now does make me realize how many dumb whores are in the world. Maury Povich is on with yet another paternity show. God I'm bored. If I were gay, I could play Final Fantasy XII. too bad I'm all about the pussy.

douglas on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 10:48 AM

i have no idea who i picked up, i didn't look at name, strictly at stats, i have no clue who the fuck ollie is.

Brock on Thursday, November 02, 2006 at 11:57 AM

Nice excuse Joe... and good attempt at classifying UC as thugs, but that label won't stick anymore. UofL is the one picking up the black unis and the rougher/tougher image.

Huggs is gone. Cronin had them running full-court presses and a Pitino-style motion offense. They weren't streetballing thats for sure.
