Happy New Years!

Another bowl victory for the old dude! S-T-A-T-E go State!

Bigworm on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 3:38 PM

Yeah...I was rolling....UT kills me sometimes. I think they had a guy who was deemed ineligible (brent smith) due to academics...and he was a senior.

Bigworm on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 3:42 PM

Georgia Tech and WVU are in a shootout. 35-31 with 6 minutes left in the third quarter.

Bigworm on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 3:55 PM

Philco - from our conversation last night.......the SEC road games against eligible BCS conferences.

Florida beat Florida St. at Florida St.
South Carolina beat Clemson at Clemson
Vandy won at Duke
Bama lost at Washington

stew on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 3:55 PM

Woooo! Go Mountaineers! I think after that recovered kickoff, West Virginia is too motivated. Tech is done! Big East goes to 3-0.
Anyone doing anything for the games tonight or tomorrow night?

Bigworm on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 3:59 PM

Yeah Rutgers having to play Kansas State was nothing but a slap in the face.

stew on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 6:42 PM

What a boring Rose Bowl....I think UM's band's Led Zeppelin medley was more interesting than the game itsself. Yuck.

Jay on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 6:58 PM

Hahahahahaha........impaired judgment. Would that include dry humping a girl for over 3 hours?

Jay on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 10:16 PM

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.

Bigworm on Monday, January 01, 2007 at 10:17 PM

The less sense what makes?

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:33 AM

Never underestimate bringing in the flag football play. God bless the hook and ladder.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:51 AM

Ha, and when you need to go for two in OT bring in another flag football play!

Statue of Liberty + Hook and Ladder = Fiesta Bowl win

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:00 AM

Holy shit, that game was amazing and the son of a bitch running back proposed to the cheerleader after the game.

Suck on that "We are Marshal"

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:39 AM

Ok, let's see here.

1) We have big time underdog that everyone has written off as going to get waxed
2) We have a star running back who crochets in his free time who was passed up by the big time programs in california and a QB who has never won the big game
3) We have a bowl game that everyone said wouldn't be worth watching
4) "good guys" (boise state) gets a big lead up on the "bad guys" (oklahoma) early
5) "bad guys" make their inevitable comeback, along with a couple of big mistakes made by the "good guys"
6) "bad guys" take seemingly unsurmountable lead with a minute to go off a tipped ball, followed by two point conversion with three tries to get right
7) with a minute left Boise State goes to the trick play (hook and ladder) to put the game into overtime
8) In overtime the "bad guys" score immediately
9) the good guys go with ANOTHER trick play (half-back pass) to get with in one
10) the good guys go for the win and go with YET ANOTHER trick play (statue of liberty) to win in overtime
11) the star running back PROPOSES to his cheerleader girlfriend in the post game. Oh, his cheerleader girlfriend also crochets so she shows him new moves while they CROCHET together

Cue Wilco - Kingpin as the credits role...
"Statue of liberty play, it only works once, don't throw it away."

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 8:22 AM

That would make a phenomenal movie. Wes, what makes less and less sense is Bmac dry humping for 3 1/2 hours.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 8:50 AM

he had to have rubbed his dick raw, seriously, there had to be an 'all or nothing' moment, when he whips his cock out and just goes for it, and if she's not game, he'd just say 'screw it, i'm done.' oh wait, that's what a normal guy would do. also, the funniest part may be the fact that his shirt never came untucked. phil, i hear u have the video of this, and I'm gonna' need to see it, b/c i didn't get to witness the act in person, and from what i hear it's the funniest thing that's happened, like, ever.

Philco - 7a) The final 86 seconds contained an explosive offensive game as both sides were leaving it on the field. A total of 22 points scored in the final 86 seconds of regulation.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:29 AM

Has anyone talked to Bmac since yesterday? I wonder if he is still pissed.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:33 AM

Bmac is pretty awesome, but I can easily see how he would be pissed. I saw the video and it wasn't nearly as good as the earlier action.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:35 AM

So what happened after I left? I'm not sure if I approve the "tell b-mac that night" plan.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:40 AM

i don't care, i still need to see that video

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:40 AM

It wasn't really a tell Bmac that night plan, it was more of after they both got in the house, elf-shoe wearing bitch wouldn't shut the fuck up about her cousin being really conscious about everything she does, so in order to piss elf-shoe wearing bitch off, several of us started making subtle comments to the point that we couldn't contain the laughter. Bmac was more pissed about it than Leah was, who made the comment that she was now an actress (big points given to Leah on that comment).

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:44 AM

this is what happened yesterday, i get to joe's yesterday about 1pm to pick up sarah's car, i stop in to make sure joe's alive and survey the damage, we head out to the tent to clean up a little bit, and the first thing we see is an open condom wrapper on the ground next to the couch, at this point neither one of us knows what happened except that bmac was messing with some chick on the couch, so naturally we assumed this condom was his. we later found out about the whole dry humping and throwing a condom at him, but in the meantime, me and joe were laughing hysterically b/c of this random condom. i call bmac and ask if there's anything i need to know, he categorically denies anything about the condom (which i guess is true), but refused to talk about anything else. he lacks the ability that we all have to laugh at ourselves, he takes himself too seriously sometimes, so needless to say, he was pissed off yesterday, but i think it also might've been b/c he had blue balls and a raw dick

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:49 AM

Douglas you have no idea amigo....the best stuff was too hardcore for soft core GBITTmax (skinamax but in the tent). Seriously, Bmac was going to town and we were all rolling. I still chuckle when I think about it, because imagine Cuban, Jay, Philco and myself repeatedly walking out there in the tent. I almost sat on the Tuscan Mule couch with popcorn watching that action.

Pointy elf-shoe bitch was killing me with her vocabulary to the point that she said "Bmac is macking my cousin" and every other word was "seriously". It got to the point to where I called her out and told her "Seriously, I haven't heard anyone use the word macking in that same frame of reference since the early 90's....seriously". At that point, Jay started dropping "seriously" left and right and throws out the comment "Seriously, if I was getting it on with a girl in the tent, I wouldn't care if anyone filmed it, seriously"........we know Xota, we know.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:50 AM

an actress? b/c she was being watched or b/c she was faking something w/ bmac??

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:50 AM

Because we made a video.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:51 AM

I think she was actually kind of proud that she snagged a real man like Bmac. I am starting to think that maybe Bmac really macks all the hoes and just acts like our favorite Bmac just to fuck with us because it is comedy gold to him.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:52 AM

ummm, no

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:54 AM

I don't want to say that I influenced Mack Daddy Bmac's decision or anything, but at some point I told him...Bmac she is a cute girl (cute is better than hot in this instance) and she is going to be a pharmacist so she will start around 90K....I like to think he tried to leave it on the field....er couch....so to speak to snag her.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:55 AM

Boise State recap video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENwDDB0dlRk&NR

At this point Oklahoma has already ran off 10 straight points...

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 9:56 AM

this is bmac's game, he gets them drunk and flirts, initially they think he's cute and funny, and then they sober up and talk to him...Seriously guys, there were a lot of girls freshman year of college that thought he was cute and wanted to meet him, and then they did....i don't think they found him as endearing as we all do

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:00 AM

Seriously! You have to admit, though, elf shoe had some pretty good comments herself. I don't really remember what, but she had jokes. I remember, and marc can back me up on this, when Leah walked in, the first words out of her mouth were "I'm sore" followed by "It's cold out there." I think she threw in the second comment to cover up the first one, but we heard it. We are all a bunch of assholes, seriously.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:00 AM

They don't find him endearing probably because they were whores....I mean seriously, Bmac dry humped this girl for 3 and 1/2 hours.....3 and 1/2 hours....that's love man, in the classic Bmac way.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:04 AM

I feel for Joe. He comes through with exactly what was expected of him with great execution and he gets out shined by B-Mac. He does need to get props for this exchange after we find big ass girl's panties in joe's room:

"Hey Joe, where's katie?"
"WHO IS KATIE?"
"The girl you fucked!"
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!"
"The girl who left her panties in your room"
"SHE HATES ME BECAUSE I WILL NOT CALL HER TOMORROW BUT I SAID I WOULD. I NEED TO PEE."

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:05 AM

The thing is, I understand why he wouldn't want to have sex with her. I mean, I would'nt want to have sex with you guys around. But I don't get why he would do that much thrusting. Making out with her would be one thing, but how did his pelvis not get sore?

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:06 AM

Phil, those weren't Katie's panties. Joe found them several weeks ago.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:06 AM

Yeah pointy elf-shoes bitch was kind of jealous I think.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:07 AM

Flawless victory by Joe.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:07 AM

pointy elf-shoes bitch was jealous b/c she wanted to have sex that night pretty bad, i can't believe none of u took advantage of that, it was obvious she was looking for a fuck

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:08 AM

and then Cuban enters in stage left.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:08 AM

and for the record joe never had a slight chance of fucking katie that night, what's miraculous is that the next day she didn't hate him and found the whole night to be pretty funny. i think she actually likes him, imagine that.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:10 AM

Did Cuban not get with pointy-elf shoe bitch was was looking for some ass?

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:10 AM

I saw them HOLDING HANDS.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:10 AM

cuban didn't take advantage of it, he could've but he didn't, that's probably why she was jealous b/c no one was fucking her

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:13 AM

cuban was hilarious though, he kept grabbing like every girl's ass all night long. probably the funniest thing i said all night

random girl: mark keeps grabbing my ass!
me: it's alright, he's a christian.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:14 AM

I still saw Elf-shoes and Cuban HOLDING HANDS

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:14 AM

I think the best part probably happened in the upstairs bedroom (maybe they were dry humping for an hour), only to be outshined by Joe's flawless execution of another Joe night, and Bmac marathon in the tent.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:16 AM

yeah, he's gay, it's inexcusable to hold hands w/ a bitch wearing elf shoes who seriously says stupid things

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:17 AM

Had I known cuban fell short, I would have broken her off a piece.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:19 AM

u know it's a good night when my girlfriend of all people tells me that I was the "good one" out of my friends. that seriously never happens

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:21 AM

Good one my ass.......just normal is how i would say it.

Some girl made a comment that this guy keeps telling me to show him my boobs....and that guy was you.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:23 AM

compared to bmac, mark, and joe, i was the good one. Good is a relative term, here it means i wasn't as bad as the others. and i always ask people to show me their boobs, hell i was trying to get big jay to flash everyone in the tent

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:26 AM

just for the record, what girl was that?

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:28 AM

Fuck if I know who she was.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:28 AM

But I'll put the safe bet down and say...all of them.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:30 AM

i do remember telling leah a lot to show her boobs to bmac during drunk checkers, it was a new rule i made to the game, just trying to help a brother out

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:32 AM

I must say that if one was to rank Natty Sci - The New Class in terms of overall politeness it would have to go:

1) Barry, although I thought he was going to snap at midnight when he started kissing his hand and proclaiming it bullshit that Joe always gets the drunk whores
2) Douglas
3) B-Mac, yeah sure he was 200 minutes of dry humping fury but all in all you have to admit that's kinda polite. Anyone else in this group would have just whipped it out and jerked off on her passed out body. Although he did just keep feeding that chick booze until she was drunk enough to not care what happened
4) Mark. I'm moving him up for giving Joe the evil eye when Joe was macking on Big Ass and then taking elf-shoes up for some floor loving. And one could say he was the ring leader of taking pictures of B-Mac dry humping.
5) Joe. Covered in his own drool, booze with blood shot eyes and a look of "who the fuck is Joe?" he proclaimed himself an asshole, we found a pair of random panties in his room, couldn't identify the girl he tried to sleep with beyond the fact that she hates him, and I'm pretty sure he was drunk dialing people too that I'm sure came off well with the other parties involved.

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:34 AM

random panties, found those cleaning my room one day. No clue who the owner is. Yesterday around 6 or 7 PM I was in my room and found katie's phone number written down on a piece of paper on my dresser. Only reason I woke up yesterday morning is because my bed broke and I fell out of it. Has there ever been an occasion where mark, b-mac and me all put on displays with ladies like that. The whole reason I began even talking with Katie is because Douglas said she looks good tonight with that ass and sex with short girls is fun. Douglas said "one of you all needs to try and hit that and I have no faith in B-mac." my response "give me 5 minutes." All in all quantity down, quality up.

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:36 AM

I have a New Year's tradition to uphold

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:38 AM

Douglas was 2nd by default. Had his gf not been there he would have put me to shame.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:40 AM

I'm a little pissed off. That girl Leah threw herself at me and it was a nice little ego boast to have a cute girl hitting on me. Little did I know it was just to escape B-Mac.

Sigh.

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:41 AM

for the record I'm technically not Natty Sci New Class.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:44 AM

joe, u r probably right

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 10:59 AM

First of all there should never be "class" and natty sci ever associated unless it is preceded by "lack of".

And I almost forgot about me being a bouncer. Mark and Douglas were trying to take pictures of you and Katie, but I wouldn't let them and had to patrol the door. Pointy elf-shoe girl was there telling them to all go away but at the same time wasn't following her own advice so I gave Cuban the "take her away and do her look"...you could tell she wanted some steamy Mexican love.

Also, I wouldn't let one of Leah's friends take a picture of Leah and Bmac making out (prior to dry humping). Here is that conversation:
Me: "Sorry dude no pics"
Him: takes out camera to try and get pics
Me: tapping his chest "Sorry man no pics"
Him: "Doesn't mean I won't try"
Me: "Doesn't mean I am going to allow you"
Him: tries to stare me down and eventually tries to reach around me (imagine him holding his arms around me in circle form with his camera in my back with a shittly little smirk on his face)
Me: I push him about 3 feet back and bark "No offense, I said no pictures"

He got the point.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:03 AM

And then you can't forget about Barry showing off the guns. We were talking about being a bouncer or fighting or something and Barry says to me "See nobody expects much out of me, they see short guy and dismiss me, but what they don't see is ex-wrestler". This prompts Barry to start flexing and telling me stories how how his students leave him student evaluations about wanting him for his body.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:04 AM

I think Barry is due for a date raping at next year's new years

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:11 AM

yeah, u r a tough guy, but i still got my pics. the funniest part about joe/katie was when they turned the light on inside and we all started screaming outside saying they were finished, when in reality she had got up to turn the light on and check her makeup b/c she had shed a few tears (it's a given, girls cry in joe's room), and apparently, she heard all of us outside and we made it worse. we're always good for an assist or two. yeah, next year we'll have to work on getting barry laid, we'll have to get our hands on some roofies

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:12 AM

Why was she crying for?

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:13 AM

Seriously, if drunk ass Joe isn't romantic with his buddies trying to take pics I don't know what is.

Joe - you should probably give her a courtesy call.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:15 AM

she was really drunk for one, and she thought we were all making fun of her and calling her a slut. i talked to her yesterday when she called sarah and explained to her that no one was making fun of her, we were making fun of joe, and no one really actually thought she was a slut, and i basically told her we're a bunch of assholes and not to take us seriously, and she was laughing about it. she said she was just really drunk and wasn't offended, and in retrospect thought it was pretty funny

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:23 AM

Maybe we shouldn't be such assholes?

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:24 AM

ummmm, no

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:27 AM

Equal opportunity offenders.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:28 AM

I think we might eventually run out of girls that we know that will be willing to come to new years if word gets out that the mission is to get them so drunk that we can take advantage of them, but they'll just get dry humped

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:29 AM

Sounds like someone needs to go back to college just to recruit for GBITT III: Rubbin' the Johnsons Raw.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:33 AM

i just can't wait to start using the phrase 'B-macking a girl'

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:33 AM

Azubuike to sign with the Golden State Warriors.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs...warriors/index?

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:33 AM

I just realized I had a voice mail from B-Mac threatening me if I put anything on the internet. I really only took the picture so that Douglas and Joe could see just how retarded this whole situation was and would never post something on the internet because that Leah seemed like an ok girl, but the threat changes everything.

I might post it just because B-Mac left that message and tried to sound like a tough guy.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:34 AM

Philco - after that message I told him it was Cuban instigating the video.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:37 AM

what did he say on the voicemail???? i don't care if the video's on the internet or emailed to me or whatever, i just need to see what everyone's talking about

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:38 AM

Yeah, I figured he just called trying to save face in front his special lady.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:38 AM

when i told him i heard there was a video and i wanted to see it, he said 'that's fuckin' gay, that's really fuckin' gay.' My reply, 'I don't care how gay it is, it's fucking hilarious.'

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:39 AM

Basically he would kick Phil's ass if he posted it. Phil, I don't think he was trying to be a tough guy....he was genuinely pissed.

If we can't recruit girls at a college, how about another planet?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16431613/?GT1=8921

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:41 AM

I already deleted the voice mail, but the gist of it was "if that video goes on the internet I'll break into your house, I'll break your laptop and then I'll break you." It was a very Billy Zabka moment.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:42 AM

when did he call? yesterday?

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:42 AM

No, after Leah made that comment that Phil might post it on the internet.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:43 AM

because he has computer skillz (with a z)

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:46 AM

The video in and of itself isn't funny so I'd never post it to the internet. Without context the video is actually very shitty. You can't imagine how absurd the whole situation was without actually being there or knowing b-mac. Anytime B-Mac trying to get laid is compared to kindergarten boys rubbing their dicks against the floor during nap time you know that words alone will not do it justice.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 11:48 AM

i just need to see that video

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:07 PM

Douglas - really it isn't that good. If I was Phil, I'd just delete it.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:13 PM

Or video edit and add sound of the elf-shoe wearing teacher who was comparing Bmac to the kindergartner masterbating during movie time saying "Bmac is macking my cousin".

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:19 PM

Jerome, if you are reading all this, to make it funnier for you, elf shoes is Donna Reed's daughter from your bell choir. Leah is her cousin who also went to ascension with me.

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:20 PM

Rent and Rave just called me saying they are picking up the tent tomorrow. The guy asked how everything went and I said "legendary."

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:28 PM

1) B-mac needs to get laid.
2) The addition for next year is the roofie colata for Barry.
3) Why wouldn't a girl leaving my room shed a few tears?
4) My house is now clean.
5) Wes, I think your right, she does deserve a call
6) Had Douglas been there for the dry hump, Douglas would have jumped on and made a B-mac sandwich

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:42 PM

I think bmac was kind of pissed at me, because at one point (between bmac and leah making out, and them dry humping) Wes, Bmac, Leah and I were in the basement checking out the jager machine. At this time I was still drunk and horny. Leah mentioned she was cold (apparently she has poor circulation) so I started rubbing her shoulders. She seemed like she was kind of into it. Bmac then went upstairs. After a few minutes, she and wes got into a serious discussion about pharmacying. (I know that's not a real word, for the record) I kept waiting for an opportunity, but never really got one. In the meantime, bmac would come downstairs, look at us like an idiot, and then go back upstairs. This went on several times. Eventually we all went back upstairs and we all know what happened next. I'm kind of glad I never really got an opportunity, for two reasons
1) Bmac is my boy, and I would never want to roll up on a chick he was interested in (sober, at least)
2) If I had gotten on her, there would have been no 3 1/2 hour dry hump session, and let's be honest, that was the highlight of the night.

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 12:48 PM

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I think b-mac was over-thinking the situation

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:27 PM

Way to kill a conversation, joe.

stew on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:28 PM

If anyone is interested and not at work, I am going to see Rocky Balboa at Tinseltown at 2:30. I'm gonna go crazy waiting for this damn game to start, especially after the game last night. So what I'm saying is if anyone wants to come along, that'd be great.

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:29 PM

Joe ... you clearing things up for me just made me puke a little ... thanks!

Oh and the video ... can TOTALLY be recreated. Just take two people, put 'em on top of each other, set their cell phones to vibrate and then call them.

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:30 PM

i don't care how crappy the video is, i wanna see bmac in action

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:33 PM

For you people waiting for Studio 60 to start up again, MadTV's spoof of the show:

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:55 PM

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:56 PM

Whatever, Jerome. You should have at least stopped by to say hello.

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 1:58 PM

Yeah, I feel terrible about it ... but I do work with Phil and his phone. So, I saw all the BMacky goodness ... and if you hang in there for just a few more minutes or so ...

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:03 PM

Seriously that video doesn't do it justice. At one point, Bmac had her bent over doggy dry humping her! No not really, but you can imagine what it would be like if he did.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:04 PM

I'm not posting that to the internet. I am too polite.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:06 PM

Good. However, Jerome on the other hand.........

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:06 PM

jerome has no access to the video unless I am holding the phone.

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:06 PM

I'm not so polite ...

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:07 PM

Or he could "steal" the phone

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:07 PM

jerome says the video has no audio. is this true? I have no sound on my pc at work

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:08 PM

yep, no audio...I was highly disappointed.

For now on, Phil is going to wear the Detroit hat....for Big Disappointment.

Jerome on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:08 PM

Honestly, you don't see much and the video could have been anybody ... it could have been Phil or Joe or Jay. Then again ... No one is as smooth as that dude in the video ... whoever that is.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:10 PM

That's because you guys missed out on the good stuff.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:11 PM

I don't have anywhere near the strength in my hips a bmac does. I could have kept that up for 20 minutes, tops.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:13 PM

Keep in mind though Jay, Bmac had all those shots of Crown Royal. I bet he had whiskey dick going on which is what took 3.5 hours.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:16 PM

I'm not talking about blowing a load, I simply mean that my pelvis would get tired after that much repetitive motion.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:18 PM

Phil - can you post the one you did on google video on youtube...joe looks happier in that one.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:23 PM

let B-mac know that I still have the video and I now know how to upload to youtube.

the same video from google, with sound (fuck you google video upload process). Give it a second, it takes youtube a bit to dry hump the video into the appropriate format

So, I think I just made a date with that girl to watch the harry potter movies some time.

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:43 PM

My advice big jay: We sweatpants. Dry humping is so much nicer in sweat pants than in jeans. And less chance of dick burn.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:45 PM

Can we add the bloodhound gangs, mammal song to the Bmac vid?

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:53 PM

Seriously, why not post the B-mac video?

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:54 PM

More demand for this video than Paris Hilton's and Pamela Lee's put together ...

joe on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 2:55 PM

I saw a picture of it and that wasnt enough

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 3:02 PM

the picture didn't satisfy my desire to see bmac in action

douglas on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 3:05 PM

if there was a real bmac porno, if u were to go to a video to find it, which section to do you think you'd be more likely to find it, comedy or adult?

Sci Fi, because that idea is way out there.

Mattias is just an old school version of Matthew. I think his other son is named Magnus, just like Magneto. (actually, Magneto's name is Erik Magnus Lensherr. I didn't want any movie people to yell at me for that) Nerp!

Phil on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 4:35 PM

who gives a fuck about what will ferrel's kids are named. I want to hear more about B-Mac reaction!

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 4:36 PM

Mattias is actually a name that I like, but not as cool as Kal-el. Of course, in this day and age it would be wise to avoid Arab sounding names, even if it is Kryptonian.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 4:58 PM

I don't if this was an accident or not, but on joe's first video, the top rated related item is titled "crying girl." That is just awesome.

Bigworm on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 5:03 PM

I am quite sure that isn't an accident.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 5:36 PM

Actually jerome, there was a guy at the party that brock kept calling lou ferrigno. But to answer your question, no I have never seen bmac and lou at the same place at the same time.

Jay on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at 5:38 PM

Jay on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:00 AM

Suck it ACC! Suck it long, and suck it hard.

Brock on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:07 AM

Ok, my brothers and I were discussing this yesterday:

If a punt isn't downed until you have possession, then why can't you just slap the ball to the 1 yard line, then grab it. Wake Forest did this... sort of... when the ball bounced, the guy just whacked it and they got at least 11 more yards... he tried to do it again, but they blew the whistle.

This was brought up yesterday because Michigan stopped the ball on the 1, but because the guy who picked it up (another player) had his heal on the line, it was a touchback.

Someone figure this out. Because I'm gonna go be a special teams coach in college if I found the loophole.

Brock on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:12 AM

Big East 4-0.... come on Bearcats... lets hold up the record.

Phil on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 1:32 AM

You can't advance the ball from the point of the ball being touched. Same thing applies when you recover a muffed punt too. No loop hole.

Stew and I kept leading O'shea's in Cards chants. We took care of business.

Brock on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 2:28 AM

Well... explain to me how when the ball landed on the 40 from the punt, rolled to the 38, and the Wake guy slapped it into the air to the 29, and then again slapped it on the 29... they spotted the ball on the 29. Someone screwed up there.

joe on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 7:25 AM

So I called Katie yesterday, she really doesn't hate me. Right after I hung up the phone with her Laura calls me from the Orange bowl. She finds the bmac story hilarious as well. Laura showed her boobies at hef's club in New Orleans.

Jay on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 8:09 AM

It doesn't count. She didn't show them at GIBTT.

Jerome on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 8:56 AM

Boobies need to be shown more often. I'm a firm believer in big boobies ... or is it BIG believer in firm boobies ... where is the best place for boobies in Louisville besides strip clubs and the infield at Churchill Downs?

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 9:13 AM

Brock, if the guy touched it and I think it was evident he did, they blotched the call.

douglas on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 9:15 AM

they botched the call, i was thinking the exact same thing on that play, cuz the WF guy just kept kicking the ball down to like the 20 yd. line from the 40 or something, and they spotted on like the 26

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 9:20 AM

Joe - how did that conversation go?

WTF?!?!?! It's almost 10:30 am. Saban was supposed to have a press conference at 10. Now rumors are flying around that he is on a plane to Tuscaloosa right now. I don't know about this guy. He seems to just fuck with everyone's head. What a lying bitch ...

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 10:25 AM

Yeah of course the other big Rumor is if Saban says no, Petrino is the second guy they are going to throw a crazy amount of money at.

Jay on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 10:33 AM

Happy birthday to Danicka McKellar, 32.

Jerome on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 10:50 AM

I think regular shmoes like us should have the same kind of coverage regarding our lives that the press gives football coaches.

"Rumors are around that Joe, currently with the VA, is being considered for a position with the fire departmet. No offer has been proposed, but indications are that he will be offered a shiny red hat and big boots. His present long-term contract will be tough to top though considering he currently has a solid health insurance, dental plan, retirement package and days off for dead ex-presidents."

"Natty Sci reporter Philco reports from GBITT that BMac is in active negotiations over his current situation. The talks have stopped but speculations abound that other tactics of persuasion are being played by both sides. Cameras were removed from the GBITT conference room by GBITT security but did not sway our own Philco from obtaining a short clip of the meeting. However, NattySci higher-ups have decided not to release the video due to disturbing images and graphic lameness."

Don't forget Mike Williams of USC

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:25 AM

So how long does it take for the Petrino to the Dolphins rumors to start?

Phil on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:26 AM

I don't get why Fox Sports is saying Louisville will finish in the top 5. Wisconsin, Boise State and USC will all probably jump them. I don't see the loser of the Florida / OSU game dropping below Louisville either. I full expect Louisville to finish 7th or 8th.

And wes, Petrino to the Dolphins / Falcons / Cardinals rumors have been going for the past week.

Church on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:27 AM

Last I heard, Pete Carroll was going to the Cardinals, Ken Whizenhunt to the Falcons, unless Cowhere leaves, and the Dolphins are open though I think Ron RIvera of the Bears would be their top choice

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:28 AM

Yeah, but officially Saban had to leave Miami first, and that is done.

Phil on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:30 AM

nothing has to be official for rumors to start

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 11:35 AM

If it were official it wouldn't be a rumor...and rumors are more fun.

It was rumored that those were Katie's panties in Joe's room. Now that we know the truth, we are all disappointed and I had to soak my hands in rubbing alcohol since I picked those things up.....I am sure I had some kind of crotch rot jump on my hands.

i'm not complaining about the fantasy football, but i will just say if i was in town and around a computer over christmas weekend (I don't own a computer) and I had a chance to change my roster (there were 3 guys i wanted to play but wasn't around the computer to make changes, and if only one of those guys had played i would've won), then i would've resoundingly defeated Joe B. in the finals with a 100+ performance and taken what's rightfully mine. Fucking family time cost me my trophy.

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:32 PM

Yes you are.

douglas on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:51 PM

and to comment on your article, unfortunately for UofL, chances are he's pretty much on the money

Phil on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:55 PM

rumor is that Louisville isn't even going to bother playing football next year. We have never had to replace a NFL bound QB, running back, wide receiver or defensive player in the history of the program and I'm not even sure if we have backups at those positions this year. We certainly haven't recruited them. I think it'll be open tryouts!

douglas on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 12:55 PM

not that i think UofL will suck next year if all those guys leave, but i think they won't get back to the BCS next year, probably another gator bowl appearance or something

Brock on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 1:19 PM

Look, either Brohm or Bush goes pro... not both. I have a strong feeling if Brohm goes, Bush stays. I find it unlikely that Bush goes regardless. Sure, he might pull that Willis McGahee crap, but playing a senior season and destroying the competition will only make him a top 5 pick...

I was thinking about this issue during the game. People used to say that its a good idea to turn pro as soon as possible if you are a top talent so you don't get injured. The thing is... the medical recovery time for most of these major injuries has dropped so much that its almost a moot point.

Take David Pollack. The guy freakin' breaks his neck, almost goes paralyzed, and he still has the option of playing in the NFL the following year (although doubtful). A broken neck would end someone's life let alone career 5-10 years ago. This is an extreme example, but hell... busted knees are almost drive-thru nowadays. If only Bo had played 15 years later.

douglas on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 1:26 PM

i will say, even as a big UK fan, that I think it would be great to see everyone of those players come back, including bush and brohm, b/c they really would have an extremely good chance of making the NC game, and of course winning it. I think Brohm's already gone, the only way he stays is if everyone else stays and he tries to win the championship. if just one person leaves from the current unit, then he runs the real risk of pulling a Matt Leinart, staying a year too long and fucking up your draft position, hence costing him millions

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 1:45 PM

The difference between Leinhert and Brohm is Brohm is the #1 draft pick...and will get a lot more money!

stew on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 1:51 PM

Normally I wouldn't respond to an article like Doyel's, however, this is not his first article targeting the Big East and specifically Louisville.
Anyways, I'm not going to attack the writer, I will however, attack his flawed reasoning and erroneous statements.
First, in regards to Petrino. He is not going anywhere (at least this year). The "Petrino to Alabama" rumours seemed to be propagated by people in the Louisville community. As a matter of fact, most Alabama fans weren't even mentioning him. This is really a non-issue though as Saban is going there.
Secondly, in regards to players leaving...Doyel really goes ass-over-teakettle in his list of players that according to him have pretty much jumped ship. Yes, the Cards are losing a few key seniors. Most notably Amobi Okoye, Nate Harris, Renardo Foster, and Kurt Quarterman.
As far as players entering the draft, I believe that Michael Bush will get a medical redshirt and return. Simply because he is not physically ready to perform well at the scouting combine and after extensive searching, I have not seen him ranked higher than the middle of the second round. That is way too low for a player with his skills. It is my belief he'll come back next year and show (again) what he can do and go as a top 5 pick in 2008.
Brohm is most likely to go pro, but I think he will do the Leinart thing. Leinart went 10th overall and is currently the starter for Arizona. Brohm has no guarantee of going that high in the draft. Most of the mock drafts I have seen have him pretty low in the first round going to teams where he will not get an opportunity to take the reins next year. I think it will really come down to whether or not someone from the Lions or Raiders promises him they will take him at the top.
Doyel then mentions players like Urrutia, Douglas, and Malik Jackson going pro. This really doesn't even rate a rebuttal. Anyone with two eyes who watched the game last night saw Urrutia drop alot of good passes and that is one of the faults he still needs to work on. Secondly, he's also said that he is staying to play with his brother. Harry Douglas is a really good WR. He is fast, has really good hands and runs good routes. He's also listed at a generous 5'11 and 170 lbs. Honestly, how many top receivers are drafted as juniors? Especially with that size. He and Urrutia will both return next year. Even if they didn't, Doyel obviously is unfamiliar with the stable of quality WR's that Louisville possesses. In fact, we have such an abundance of talent at that position that our top WR recruit from 2006 (who was heavily recruited by UF, WVU, So Car, Miss St. and others) now plays safety.
I really think this article was completely unwarranted and quite contrived and far-fetched. It is so partial that I suspect some Louisville fan must have sodomized his wife or something. It is a prime example of the fact that there are too many sports "journalists" and not enough content for them to cover. My message to Doyel would be, first; do your homework and familiarize yourself with a program before you lambaste it and predict its imminent doom, and secondly, I can't wait for you to eat crow next fall, when the football Cards return a team as good or better than this years' squad. When you need to find me in order to kiss my ass, I'll be in Ramadi, Iraq defending your freedom to publish such utter bullshit. Your welcome.

Stew get use to it, UK is Doyel's punching bag for basketball...looks like he is making UofL his speedbag for football. Personally, I just think we should tar and feather this retard.

Bigworm on Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at 2:39 PM

You should have seen the comments he made about then UK recruit Jodie Meeks. Jodie's dad responded back to him and Doyel posted the letter and his response on the net.

Doyel is already eating a mighty helping of crow over that one.

Some guy posted this on the Kentucky Board.

Apparently he lives in Alabama and they interruppted regular broadcasting to give you this:

** News Alert ** News Alert ** News Alert **

Fox 6 is live at the Tuscaloosa Airport, waiting on the Sabans to arrive.

I kid you not.

Kids are there with Alabama jerseys, and the crowd is cheering. Saban looks T-d off. He is not happy.

Jeh Jeh Pruitt is there and just stuck a microphone under Saban's nose as he literally was deboarding the plane. Pruitt asked him if he had seen the Alabama facilities, and Saban snapped back that he just got off the plane.

Oh, this is going to be good.

Saban's wife was charming, though. Said he has already been breaking down Alabama film. But Saban looks irritated at everyone. And it's just starting.

I wonder how much money was bet against Notre Dame tonight. It seems like that was about as close as free money as it gets.

Bigworm on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 1:30 AM

Yeah I completely agree. I was impressed with Darius Walker tonight, well in the first half I was atleast. 1st half he had 125 yards on the ground, and the end of the game he had 127.

Marc on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 2:07 AM

Ok, I am scared of whatever I may have done at GBITT. Jay told me we sang (or started to sing) a couple songs that I don't remember singing. and I don't even remember seeing Michelle, and there is a picture of me kissing her on the cheek. Since I passed out early, the shaving cream left on me was fine. i was fair game at that point.

Jay on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 9:16 AM

Marc, the worst thing you did was pass out early. And act desperate for girls. There are actually a couple of songs I am not sure wether we played or not.

Marc on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 9:33 AM

well hey, that's me most of the time.

Marc on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 9:41 AM

Jay, so when are you gonna watch the Harry Potter movies with that chick? make a solid date for it. The new one comes out in July. so if you're gonna wait until then, then that would suck. or get together to do something else. Remember, don't stay too long in Friendville. I have to live vicariously through you (yes, which IS indeed sad). I was living vicariously through B-mac, but that just turned out to be drawn-out and just painfully after awhile. And when I lived vicariously through Joe, it never went anywhere. (Ahh, burn)

Cincinatti better beat Western Michigan. Go Big East! And I was glad that LSU won. I know it's an SEC school, but, in my limited opinion, ND is overrated.

Brock on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 2:26 PM

Its CIN-CIN-NATI, 2 N's, not 2 T's... sorry I'm a geography dork.

I read a blog where someone explained the reason for Notre Dame blowing it in their bowls every year.

1. Bowl tie-ins are too lax on stipulations (i.e. top 15 for BCS)
2. Get strong poll votes for prestige alone
3. Bowls love their fan base and money
4. Academy games to boost record

These reasons cause Notre Dame to be placed in far higher profile bowls than their record deserves, thus playing "up" against better competition, and they will tend to be the underdog in every bowl, unless they actually ARE top 5 material.

Marc on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 2:33 PM

marc learned how to stalk chicks online from phil, and now he's using those powers to stalk his sister

Phil on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 3:36 PM

for those looking to stalk my sister online I have updated the link to her site.

Marc on Thursday, January 04, 2007 at 3:36 PM

Well, she lives out of state, so IF I WERE to stalk her it would be via online. But I don't have Phil's super detective skills. I just meant her two links (at the top right) seem to be dead or no longer good. she occasionally jump up new work or redesigned her site, and i would check it out every once in a while. But if I were to stalk someone....she's not a bad choice. That's all I'm saying.

Now, at taco bell, a comparable order, (switching out the tater tots for nachos), would cost about 4 dollars. WTF? Taco John's is no better than Taco bell. My advice? Run for the border. Even if you do get E. Coli.

Jay on Friday, January 05, 2007 at 1:03 PM

Is Bmac still pissed? Or do you think he will go out tonight? Because if he's out, the jokes won't stop pounding him. Just like he did greased up deaf girl.

douglas on Friday, January 05, 2007 at 1:13 PM

i believe he's in tampa this weekend, so it's a moot point, but my guess is he's still pissed, and every time we start joking on him too hard, he'll get pissed and leave like he does now when he's not in a mood to take a joke

Phil on Friday, January 05, 2007 at 5:34 PM

Coincidently I'm looking at purchasing a Nikon D50 or a Canon Rebel XT right now. I should go to the camera shop explaining that I need a camera that works well in lowlight conditions such as out door tents and can still capture quick trusting of black pants on black pants.

Bigworm on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 12:20 AM

Nikon D50 is a very good camera. Excellent choice philco, the question is did Cat help you out with that choice or did you research it.

Phil on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 1:00 AM

Not much in the way of research has been done. It's just that anytime someone buys a cheap d-SLR they always seem to buy a Nikon D50 or one of the Rebel XT so it's just a matter of figuring out which one is a better fit for me.

But based on the Flickr Camera Finder I'll probably just go with the Canon.

When I was at the UofL game inside the stadium I was hanging out with a guy who had his parents Canon 300D Digital Rebel and I was like, "let me borrow that for a minute" then started to take pictures of strangers telling them I was with the courier journal and had them strike a pose for me. As soon as I mentioned the CJ people were all for it, it was entertaining, I would ask them for their name then tell them to be looking in the CJ for their picture, they got pretty hyped about that...I guess it was kinda mean when I kept making this old dude strike a more ridiculous pose.

Brock on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 3:33 PM

Thank God we won that game. At least we pulled off a victory with a brand new coach with only 2 weeks to prepare. Regardless, Big East is 5-0!

I thought I heard them mention that no other BCS conference has gone undefeated in bowl games... is this true?

Bigworm on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 6:15 PM

Yeah probably not. Way to go Big East and begin your reign for dominance in college football.

Brock on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 6:29 PM

So they were right... technically...

The Big East going 5-0 is the first time since the BCS formed to have a BCS conference go undefeated in bowl games. However, this is the second time in history that a conference with 5 or more teams playing in bowls has gone undefeated (SEC did it in 1996, 5-0)

Phil on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 10:14 PM

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/...tory?id=2723700

Dave on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:14 PM

So do they make Paul Petrino head coach or go elsewhere?

Wrecking Crew on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:15 PM

Yeah, I just saw that, too. Mother fucker, what the fuck happend to the "commitment" he gave UL with that big ass contract extension? Did you see that on WHAS then check ESPN? Or do you have some other source? Fucking-a, I can't blame him since he doesn't know what kinda team he has coming back. That or he does know and he's running like hell.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:16 PM

John L Smith still has a house here. Ha ha. No, they've been talking about Kragthorpe being the coach for quite some time.

The Petrino to Atlanta was an interesting one because most of Atlanta wasn't talking about it, but it was the one that made the most sense to me.

Wrecking Crew on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:16 PM

THat ESPN article is from Forde and he is saying the Tulsa coach, Steve Kragthorpe, is a likely replacement.

Wrecking Crew on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:17 PM

THe least he could've done was go to the Raiders and take Brohm with his draft pick.

Wrecking Crew on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:20 PM

Does this mean UL is going to go back to the shit football school it was? Damnit, I can't take both a shit ass football and basketball team. Maybe the women's lacrosse team will shine some light on the school.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:23 PM

I think the main concern for next year will of course be whether or not Bush and Brohm will come back. I assume they will not at this point. But Louisville has put the money towards a bigger stadium and some of the better facilities in the region so keeping the recruits coming in won't be a problem. And Jurich has proven that he'll pay for good coaching so getting whoever he wants won't be a problem.

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:27 PM

Hey, at least Petrino was nice enough to stay around for the bowl game before running off. Coaching is almost as sleazy as being a lawyer or politician these days.

What's Howard Schnellenberger doing?

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:29 PM

If Petrino has any hopes of succeeding as a pro football coach, he should trade Mike Vick on day 1.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:29 PM

I think most people knew he was going to go with the amount of money being thrown around. Jurich isn't stupid and isn't going to be paying the same money Saban or the NFL are throwing around for a head coach.

The reason Petrino is a good coach is because he knows when to make the most of his opportunities. If someone is going to have a knee jerk reaction and pay that much money for his services then by all means go and get paid. His contract seems to be structured so that he can leave after a few season and still get some decent cash. Jurich has never had much of a problem finding good coaches and providing them with the facilities they need to succeed.

I am kinda excited to see what he can do with Michael Vick. It seems like a good fit. Dunn & Norwood plus Vick will give him the chance to run something very similar to what he did with LeFors.

Dave on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:30 PM

I think we all need a "Phil's top 5 coaching replacements for UofL" list. I hope UL doesn't go back to the Ron Cooper 1-10 seasons.

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:32 PM

You can't have Brian Kelly... he's a Bearcat. At least that's what he said.

adrian on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:37 PM

I think all coaches have lost credibility on their words.

I actually agree with Phil with the Petrino & Vick combo. I think it will be a good fit.

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:41 PM

Who the fuck is this Adrian guy?

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:43 PM

No one is a good fit with Vick, he's a fucktard. They are completely wasting Warrick Dunn and Vick throws more dumb passes than Kerry Collins on LSD.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:45 PM

Dave, here are the names I think people will be seeing over and over (I apologize about the spelling on some of their names, they're probably very wrong):

Steve Kragthorpe - clear front runner. His name has been mentioned for the past three years
Chris Peterson - not sure if Jurich will make a decision based on one good season
Larry Fedora - OC for OSU
Paul Johnson - Same as Peterson, could be one hit wonder
Brian VanGorder - Georgia Southern head coach, formerly of Georgia and Jacksonville Jaguars
Bo Pelini - LSU. I'm not sure if Louisville wants a defensive coordinator
Jimbo Fisher - OC for LSU. Of course, I think I could put up 40 points a game with LSU's talent

Dave on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:47 PM

I hope UofL doesn't go after Rich Brooks, especially after his 9 and 5 season. In all seriousness, Larry Coker is a good coach out there.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:55 PM

Wow, Louisville message board is barely responsive.

Best over the top the sky is falling reaction that I've read so far: Art Carmody isn't going to come back for his senior season.

Brock on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 9:56 PM

Bob Beatty is looking to make the jump to college.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 10:12 PM

Larry Coker is a good coach but I doubt they'll go after him due to his rep and his past actions vs Louisville. The same goes for Bud Foster the defensive coordinator for VTech.

Phil on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 10:25 PM

Funny post:
Urban Meyer to Louisville so that he doesn't have to compete with a quality basketball team for attention like he does at Florida

Bigworm on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 11:32 PM

Steve Kragthorpe is one hell of a football coach. I was actually hoping that UK would lock him up after Rich Brooks leaves. Of course, Mike Archer UK's DC might take the same position at NC State but get paid a lot more so I say let him go. I think I could step in and coach the defense..let's be honest UK was 118 out of 119..so what if we are 119 when I take over the reigns..it was just a one spot drop.

I do like Joker Phillips, but he doesn't have much OC experience to take over for Rich Brooks. Dave, UK went 8 and 5 not, 9 and 5.

Bigworm on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 11:35 PM

Chris - I was watching WHAS and saw it run across the bottom of the screen and I had to let out a Mr. Burn's-esque laugh and everything because of this quote that I had paraphrased in my head:

"I can't tell you how happy I am with the commitment and the confidence that Tom Jurich has in me and the university has in me," Petrino said after signing the contract. "I also wanted to make sure that everyone understood, I know I've said it, that this is where my family wants to be. This is where I want to be. I want everyone to really believe it."

Bigworm on Sunday, January 07, 2007 at 11:38 PM

What about Butch Davis?

Brock on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:02 AM

What about Jim Tressel... he likes projects.

adrian on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:36 AM

During the LSU & Notre Dame game, the commentators said that Russel can throw the ball 85 yards. They also said he can throw the ball 45 yards sitting on his ass. I just thought that was kind of impressive.

By the way I am calling the score now.

Gators - 38
The Ohio State - 28

Phil on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:42 AM

I think Russel is the real deal. I bet by the time the combines are over he'll have moved himself up to the #1 overall pick.

Bigworm on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 1:58 AM

Yeah probably so. Especiallly since he dismantled Notre Dame..........hahahhaha....fucking joke of a BCS team.

One of the sites is making a lot of references to Norm Chow, that would be great. I heard Ron Cooper is under consideration, but that is for a job with the parking office on campus

douglas on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 9:17 AM

so what i've been hearing last night and today is a possible jeff brohm promotion to try and keep brian brohm in school...

Bigworm on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 9:35 AM

I could easily see Norm Chow taking over. UofL would be a great fit for Norm Chow.

Phil on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 9:45 AM

I wouldn't mind Norm Chow, and he's interviewing with the Cardinals today!

The Arizona Cardinals.

Brock on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 10:04 AM

A head coaching job is a head coaching job. Chow is a big-time name, but until he gets a head coaching position (which I'm surprised its taken this long), he won't get the respect he deserves.

douglas on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 10:09 AM

no chance in hell chow ever ends up at UofL. this guy from tulsa seems pretty solid, and due to his relationship with jurich i'm sure he'll be the guy. i just find it hilarious he's leaving, after all the bullshit that's come out of his mouth. i'm not faulting the guy for leaving, but after all this bullshit w/ him looking for other jobs EVERY year he's been w/ UL, and the statement he released just wks. ago saying he's not a candidate for other jobs, and now w/ all the hype about how UL is now an elite program and all that. jurich, the bastard that he is, is good at his job and will find a good replacement no doubt, and UL will still be a solid contender, but this year was hands down their best shot at a championship, and i don't see them being back in the equation for at least several more years

Bigworm on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 10:28 AM

UK offered him the head coaching job, unfortunately we were on probation so nobody would touch us. That is why we had to get a retired football coach for. None the less, Rich could have installed a gimmick and we would have won a few more games, but he didn't. He is rebuilding our program the right way, and I am very much appreciative of his efforts. I really hope they rename Commonwealth Stadium after Coach Brooks, just to piss off the naysayers.

Bigworm on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:05 PM

I wouldn't doubt it. That is a name, UK had on the short list had Rich got canned this year. He is a great young energetic coach and will build on Petrino's foundation.

Brent on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:06 PM

I can't even imagine what they are saying on espn sportsradio right now. I know after that Saban fiasco every journalist was thirsting for blood, this only adds more fuel to the fire and truth to their convictions.

Bigworm on Monday, January 08, 2007 at 12:08 PM

This took the majority of Tubby's time on the teleconference (technical problems by SEC that were not his fault). He was asked about Bobby's play and continuing slump:

“He has to be himself. We moved him to th perimeter early and he got hit in the head and had 12 stitches over his eye against Indiana and is not back playing with the same reckless abandonment and fearlessness going inside and getting to the basket. Look at the lack of times he is getting to the free throw line He is not aggressive. That carries over to the defensive end. We need him to get on the floor for loose balls, take charges, be a blue-collar player. He is trying to be too much of a finesse player rather than being physical. He needs to mix it up, take bumps and bruises, and get into flow
“We have been kind of analyzing his shot. He seems to be slinging the ball and not shooting it He seems be aiming and not shooting with confidence. We are trying to get him to get the shot off as quick as he can and not really think about it.
“If you are not shooting well, people scout you and back off you. He had an open look at Ole Miss and it did not go down. When he did shot fake, he didn’t go by the defender. You have to take what the defense gives you. He inbounds the ball for us, he is involved in ball reversal. He usually is in position where his man is involved in trapping Randolph. He has to slash to the basket. He has to play off Randolph more. He still has to slash, shoot the open jumper and attack the basket.
“We just have to go with him Stick with him and let him work his way through this. We have been fortunate we have been winning. That is ahuge key. He is still in the lineup. We are trying to stay positive with him.”

this has been the worst week for me as far as college coaches go. first saban goes to tuscaloosa (meaning we now have to seriously compete with bama for louisana players, plus he's probably going to take our offensive coordinator-i don't find it coincidental that fischer got out of the florida state talk right when his old boss saban got hired by bama). on top of that saban says he didn't really want to leave lsu, blah, blah, blah. then fucking bobby sneaks out in the night...rat bastard, he'll be back in the college game in three years. fuck shit fuckity fuck fuck that shit cunt bitch ass whore. cock...balls

Bizarro rumor of the day with at least a fraction of a chance of being true: Jurich on his way to Oklahoma. Not Tulsa though. He's going to Oklahoma City to talk to Bob Stoops.

Here's the flight in question: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N10JP

I'm not sure when flight plans and tracking private jetss became standard fair for any internet rumor, but I like the trend. Actually, I do know when it became the trend. I think a plane flying to from Auburn to Southern Indiana started it all...
