Phil on Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at 3:35 PM

it's reagan firing an uzi while riding on a velociraptor that is carrying an american flag. I don't see what's so complex.

Here's my other favorite:

Words cannot express how awesome that art is.

Now I have a legitimate excuse to swap out the giant picture of a purple flower in the living room for the "Teddy Roosevelt vs. Bigfoot."

douglas on Thursday, July 04, 2013 at 2:17 PM

I would pay too much money to have a print of that

Phil on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 11:31 AM

The yum center should push to get the summer league games here. That'd be neat.

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 4:31 PM

So I heard that the cop Told people with fireworks down the street that they were okay but there were a lot of complaints filed about us down at the end of the street

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:11 PM

So the guy who came down and poured gasoline on the fire he is the owner of the corner Café By rpub

Brent on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:33 PM

Corner Cafe, isnt that Phil's "go to" spot?

Phil on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:36 PM

corner cafe is actually owned by my mom's cousin. Was the dude named Randy?

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:52 PM

Randy is friends with the platts

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:56 PM

New neighbors across the street said their favorite part was when the boxes caught fire, Their description of it was are they going to shoot Roman candles at the box are they trying to catch the box on fire oh shit the boxes are on fire

Phil on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 5:57 PM

Theresa described the box shooting thing as "this is really stupid...I can't look away....it's awesome."

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 6:02 PM

We had 270 mortars shells yeager had 95, I believe all 95 are gone and 184 of the 270 are exploded.

joe on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 6:02 PM

Another description was a really awesome Civil War reenactment

Phil on Friday, July 05, 2013 at 6:47 PM

according to this article the St. Matthews police received no complaints this year
http://www.courier-journal.com/arti...itations-issued

"A dispatcher with St. Matthews Police said their department did not receive any complaints of residents using illegal fireworks, despite intermittant blasts and roiling smoke through the evening."

Office for the blind is coming out today to take a look at the house. I'm curious whether this is the Equivalent of baby proofing. The big factors that they have told me about already are not burning myself and not tripping sounds like baby proofing. The guy coming to do this is named Michael Bolton.

Spent a few hours at the ophthalmologist today, always interesting when doctor uses the word shitty 3 times in 1 sentence. This accompany Joanna's mom Popping her head in to the examining room letting the doctor know we are engaged now. The series of test they run on me at the ophthalmologist is now referred to as the Presidential treatment.

Phil on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 3:05 PM

joe on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 4:02 PM

My uncle was talking about when they went back in college to the series in clarksville the goal mile time was 4 minutes plus your age in seconds.

I am going to get embarrassed.

Maybe I will create a Paralympic mile division.

Phil on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 4:41 PM

what classification would you be? T12?

joe on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 5:01 PM

I don't know how you get your blind Paralympic classification

joe on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 5:58 PM

I hate the idea of racing. I don't mind running but racing is terrible. Stupid mile to,or row,

joe on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 1:41 PM

Bob valv-no just played Nashville predators goal sound and song. It was pretty funny on air.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 1:55 PM

I'm the opposite. I don't understand why you would just run for the hell of it. At least racing gives it a point. Of course my opinion is skewed b/c I'ma fat old man that hates running.

joe on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 5:38 PM

Fucking bus. Bus either never came or didn't bother to stop and pick me up. Had to figure out a bus that would get me near home and start calling for rides. Fuck ! I waited 35 minutes on market street. Took me an hour and a half to get home. I could have walked.

Time Warner sucks too.

joe on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 6:59 PM

If you get hit by a frisbee or trip over a 12 foot dog leash do you have the right to murder someone?

Where did teddy bridge water get 80,000 to pay for his insurance policy? Loan?

Phil on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 12:58 PM

ncaa helps arrange the loans if their parents can't pay through the "Exceptional Student-Athlete Disability Insurance Program". Same way Clowney and Manziel did.

douglas on Thursday, August 01, 2013 at 10:16 AM

Virtually all uk ball players have them.

adrian on Thursday, August 01, 2013 at 10:31 AM

I know a lot of players have them. I am more curious how they pay for them.

adrian on Thursday, August 01, 2013 at 10:36 AM

So I take out a car loan for 10k and i pay x amount a month. Clowney takes out 40k loan and pays x amount a month. Who pays the x amount? Family? Friends? Etc

adrian on Thursday, August 01, 2013 at 10:37 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMU1dowhnEk#at=29

joe on Friday, August 02, 2013 at 11:33 AM

The Metallica freestyle dressage is officially commissioned and will be competed soon.

joe on Friday, August 02, 2013 at 11:42 AM

From the freestyle cgoreographer this is what sge emailed as her plan for laura;

1 - The Ecstasy of Gold - canter
2 - The Call of Ktulu - trot - a lot of tempo fluctuation, so I'm not sure
3 - Master of Puppets - walk - middle section
8 - No Leaf Clover - trot - a lot of tempo fluctuation, but it might work
10 - Devil's Dance - canter
18 - Sad but True - canter

There isn't much rise and fall in the music. It's mostly just loud

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 02, 2013 at 12:56 PM

Sounds interesting. Can't imagine a sport like that would really go for metal. And since I'm a snob, I question the no leaf clover and devils dance choices. Gotta go with classic metallica.

joe on Friday, August 02, 2013 at 1:34 PM

It's all from s&m obviously

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 02, 2013 at 2:49 PM

Obviously, I didn't get that. It would probably make it more acceptable in the dressage world then.

Phil? Dont you go disappearing on me now.

Fantasy football talk, Phil, Douglas, and Brock:

What do you think about turning the Fromunda league into a keeper league. I heard this one guy suggest this, you can keep up to three players (I think maybe its two). Anyway, you can keep anyone drafted in the first or second round. You give up a draft pick two rounds higher than the person you drafted last year. For example, you drafted Doug Martin in Round 5 last year. You opt to keep Doug Martin, so you have to give up your round 3 draft pick this year.

Brent on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Edit: "you can't keep anyone drafted in the first two rounds"

Brock on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 7:58 PM

It seems like keeper leagues are hard to follow. Seems easier to just start from scratch each year. I could envision some BCS-like imbalance taking over.

douglas on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 1:51 PM

I wouldn't be opposed to it if everyone else wants it, but I'm not going to bang the drum loudly for it

Wrecking Crew on Friday, September 06, 2013 at 10:28 AM

Someone brought in the Bowflex version to our call room in residency. I wasnt a huge fan, but I'm kind of a snob about that sort of thing. I like free weights and dont like machines. They are probably good enough and allow you to have a variety of weight without buying a full set of dumbells. But I will always think real dumbells are better.

If you Google beep ball You will find some awkwardly hilarious videos. This is step one in my goal of reaching the 2014 world series. I am officially a free agent. The golf scramble is getting pretty close to reaching 18 teams and 18 sponsors. We still need a few more. Anybody has any ideas for sponsors or golf team slept in. If there is any possible silent auction items anybody think of also look back. Thanks for all the help

I am too lazy to revise this and so I hope oyster right

joe on Thursday, October 03, 2013 at 10:28 PM

If anybody wants to come out and volunteer to help let me know. We might not need this many volunteers as we're getting but you can still come out and bid on the raffle/silent auction and drink beer. We're trying to get some proceeds of beer sales to go towards the charity as well

At the golf scramble we are rumored to have a former major-league baseball player in attendance. Also, it sounds like we're having a hole-in-one contest where someone hits a hole-in-one they will win a black Toyota tundra.

Joe, I know its kind of corny, but those evite web invitations do a real good job of getting the word out and keeping track of who is planning to attend things like this. Also helps when you do pot-luck events because there is a running discussion list of attendees and their items.

Using diet soda as a low-calorie cocktail mixer has the dangerous effect of getting you drunk faster than sugar-sweetened beverages, according to research from Northern Kentucky University. The study revealed that participants who consumed cocktails mixed with diet drinks had a higher breath alcohol concentration than those who drank alcohol blended with sugared beverages. The researchers believe this is because our bloodstream is able to absorb artificial sweetener more quickly than sugar.

Sounds like I'm switching to diet mixers.

Two spaces after the period. I got the habit from my word processing classes in middle school when we were learning how to type. The word processor we used (WordPerfect, I think) would throw an error if you only used a single space.

My basement contractor has been a pain in the ass so the paralyzed guy at work gave me permission to play the blind card.

He is my moral compass as to when it is fair to pull the disabled card. He has more experience than me.

I took my blind cane in to make my initial payment that he was being screwy about. He was trying to delay the start of the project and blame me for not signing the contract that was incorrect and not paying him yet. He sent me a new contract and have me sign it and make payment at his office. I was trying to get him to come by the house to get the payment and contract.

Turns out he wasn't there so left with a secretary… His mom.

joe on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 7:14 PM

So the TV show the league has what they call rosterbating. What is the equivalent of that for the NCAA bracket?

This bracket is fucked up!

On a side note, someone with my eye disease was just commenting on the effects of smoke to their vision. They were politely asking about the effects of cannabis on their eyes. Basically can I get high and not Loosemoore site. It was well spoken.

Joe, Phil, Chris, or Douglas....are any of you in a fantasy baseball league, if not, want to start one?

Ive never done it and wanted to try it, I think I will only have time to lock my players in weekly, not daily.

Brent on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 4:32 PM

Brock...I meant to add you too.

joe on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 7:31 PM

I I believe there are where you set for lineup on Monday and let it ride for the week. Leads with daily changes are stupid.

douglas on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 7:45 PM

Id jump in one but joe is right. It gets to be too much if you have to check it daily. It's a long ass season

Brent on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:59 PM

Agreed, setting the lineup once a week, makes the most sense. I say we put in $25-50 a piece. I have three people (including myself) and you two make 5. How many more people do you think we need?

Phil, Brock, Chris?

Phil on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 9:11 AM

Wrecking Crew on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 4:58 PM

joe on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 5:26 PM

Opening day is Monday

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 1:23 PM

Good point. Not that it really matters though. It's a long season, so starting a fantasy league little late isnt a huge deal.

Brock on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:02 PM

I could be convinced to join a fantasy baseball league - haven't done it since grad school.

Brent on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 10:07 PM

Ok, sent...the draft date is tomorrow at 9:30...is that cool with everyone?

Phil on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 5:05 PM

i'm in. probably doing autodraft tonight though

Brent on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 6:21 PM

Yeah, Im prob doing autodraft too after maybe the first and second round. I was kind of using this to learn more about baseball and have a little bit more fun when I go to the games.

Entry is going to be $25, Payout is 80% first place, 20% second place, and third place gets their money back.

You can mail me the money or via paypal. If you use Paypal, make sure you select, sending money to family/friends. Also, make no mention of fantasy baseball because they frown on using it for gambling purposes. We'll use the code word, "Phil's bachelor party" because it has to be coming up any day now anyways.

joe on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 7:27 PM

I plan to attend the draft. If I don't I'm having technological issues. I am Schse not certain if I can use my iPad to draft. A computer I might have visual issues with. Hope to figure something out.

Brent on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 7:34 PM

So, I had to postpone the draft. Im still waiting for two people to sign up to make it an even ten. We still might have it tonight if they sign up but I doubt it, may have to do it tomorrow. Sorry fellas. Ill keep everyone posted.

Brent on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 7:35 PM

Unless someone knows two people, that want to play. I will send them invites.

Brent on Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at 9:34 PM

Draft is tonight at 10!

Im probably in for the first 3-4 rounds...after that, I have no idea who the hell Im drafting.

Wrecking Crew on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:09 AM

I don't know how I feel about this head to head fantasy baseball thing. It can be a lot to think about setting your lineup for a week if you get down to it. How many starts are your pitchers going to get, is your DH playing a NL interleague game, etc? It does require less frequent checking vs rotisserie leagues but at least with them you can swap players in and out all the time.

joe on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 5:52 PM

Phil on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:00 AM

joe on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 6:39 PM

Brent, I have not forgot about paying for fantasy baseball

i am posting this just because I wanted to break silence

Brent on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 10:38 PM

Thanks for reminding everyone Joe.

Chris, I hear what you're saying but I think in the long run it works its way out for less time. I feel like with the rot league, it just turns into the person who pays the most attention day to day and willing to make the most moves. At least with the head to head, you only have to pay attention on Sunday night to set your lineup, if you can get it in time. That first week, I was like, ok, Ill change it in a second, got busy at work, tried to change it a little after lunch and it was effing locked....pissed.

I am liking fantasy baseball, one thing I never noticed was how much guys arent in the lineup. I just assumed they played 99% of the games. Yasiel Puig and Edwin Encarnacion are out every other day! WTF do these guys get paid to do?

Phil on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:10 AM

Based on what I've read, Puig apparently spends much of his time working with international human smugglers and having people killed

Phil on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:09 PM

Phil on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 8:33 AM

The whole state is country roads. Apparently filling poor holes here isn't in the budget. They ask neighborhoods to help pay for repairs if it gets too bad. We had a ton a few weeks ago, but now that area looks like they just dumped asphalt on it instead of repairing them one by one

BREAKING NEWS FROM MORGANTOWN - Luis Guzman is in town for freshmen orientation with his two kids

douglas on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:36 AM

Thats what happened with makers. They have to predict demand 7 to 10 years out. They were running low on supply and decided to water it down to make it last longer. People got pissed, so they just raised the price because demand was greater than supply.

douglas on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:40 AM

They go into business knowing they wont turn a profit for years. That's why the state incentives are so valuable to them. They'll probably open up the distillery on the bourbon tour though and get a little bt of revenue from that I'm sure. And they probably will do something like sell some white dog before it goes in the barrels.

Wrecking Crew on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 12:26 PM

Plus you only have to age it for 2 years to call it bourbon. Your point is still valid, but you could get some out a little earlier.

Wrecking Crew on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 12:28 PM

I would also assume you would have to be financially independent in order to compete with the major distillers. Most of the single barrel and small batches are still a part of some larger conglomerate.

Phil on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 11:04 AM

I think the fact that like 95% of everyone in this state owns some sort of gun makes door locks unnecessary. Breaking into someone's house pretty much just gives someone an excuse to try out their new shotgun.

I nearly got in a fight with a 21-year-old guy wearing a wife beater. We were setting up the firecrackers and Roman candles and cardboard boxes and he starts throwing firecrackers around us. I started yelling at him to get out if he's going to be a jackass. That was the angriest I have been in a while. I was waiting for him to take a swing at me as I was getting in his face pointing at him. It was not a guy I was worried about causing any harm to me. It would have been a lopsided beat down. And two of his little girlfriend started saying I was being mean. I picked up all the Roman candles and Took my fireworks and went home.

joe on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 12:45 PM

Supposed to help a kid with sabergers change two flat tires on his bike today. Curious if he is going to show up or not. He is my bus buddy. I actually like him a lot more the other 20 to 25 Year olds in the neighborhood. He is much more responsible and has a better job and more of a college education

Phil on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 1:20 PM

My neighbors are all old people, cops or work as contractors. I think something happened like a Steven King novel where west Virginia and saint Matthews people got switched

joe on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 10:47 PM

I was talking with my neighbors today. The early fireworks last night were our early years of how many people can we have with lighters setting as many mortar shells as we can. The kid I kicked off the street was apparently involved in that. They never learn that you can shoot off two mortar shells at one time Using one lighter by tying the wicks together. Wife beaters first idea was let's use a lighter in each hand to light two wicks. I had to teach them that one lighter equals two wicks tied together.

a neighbor parent On the street was saying the kid I kicked off the street along with many of the other kids there are all 20 years old or older and college dropouts who cannot find jobs because of legal issues mostly involving drugs and drinking and driving.

One guy I caught myself making fun of by telling him when I was your age I had already been out of college for two years and had a good job at a bank. and you still work at taco bell minimum wage.

joe on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 10:57 PM

The 20 minutes I held the fireworks captive was funny. The looks on these guys reactions when they didn't realize they pissed off the guy who bought the fireworks.

There was awkward standing around then they turned on their own friend for ruining Fourth of July after they had played with smoke bombs and sparklers for a while. Then I eventually came back out after they got bored and all sat down .

Next week I plan to yell at them to get off my lawn and I will be stomping on flaming dog poop.

joe on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at 11:03 PM

Last post, quote I had tonight to my adult neighbors on the street was "I don't care if you blow your self up on the street, the second you are about to blow up someone else is when I get pissed."

Because I'm a nerd I was reading about binary representation on reddit. Someone posted the explanation of why Gandhi turned into a shit head in the civ games: One notable example is in the original "Sid Meier's Civilization", where the AI leaders were given certain traits to simulate their real life counterparts. Gandhi was given a very low aggression rating, but if he adopted Democracy (which he usually did), his aggression rating dropped below 0 and looped around to the highest possible rating. Lategame Gandhi went from a peaceful leader to being the most war hungry dictator around the time nuclear weapons were invented. This example was so notable and funny that the developers actually kept the glitch in later installments in some respect. While there were no more loop arounds, they brought in Gandhi's nuke-happiness in different ways, such as keeping his aggression rating low, but making his "Use Nuke" value 12/10.

So in Frankfurt they are breaking ground this month on the world's first beat baseball field. I don't know what that means. Blind people playing baseball I think only need a flat open field. There are plenty of them in this state. I keep harassing the founder of this group about beep baseball. I still don't think they have a team in Kentucky.

Every time I message beep baseball of kentucky about forming a team or games being played instead of getting a response the dude tries to Facebook friend me from his personal account. I find this creepy as hell

I started referencing field of dreams to him. So we don't have a team in Kentucky but we are building a field? So what if we build it they will come?

joe on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 8:25 AM

The head of beep baseball kentucy is calling me today

I think he found my hall of fame declaration on Facebook

Brock on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 9:41 AM

If Aroldis Chapman threw a beepball, would you hear the slap of the ball in the catchers mitt before you heard the beep?

joe on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 9:52 AM

I am imagining a vortex football whistle the harder you throw it it

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 10:05 AM

I miss those days of night football with the whistling vortex. You hear it come screaming at you and hope you can pick it up before it hits you.

joe on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 10:06 AM

So I just heard a joke on TV. What is the difference between a priest and a clock? I never heard the punchline so I googled it. I found what is the difference between a priest and a watch? This was a watch is like a little clock...and it stopped there.

Another one I found was what's the difference between a priest and acne? Acne waits until the boy hits puberty to come on it's face.

So I still don't know the difference between s priest and a clock.

Phil on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 2:34 PM

i got nothing. working on something with little hands, stopping at 12 and words that rhyme with clock

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 08, 2014 at 3:23 PM

I do find it odd that Chad's ideas a diametrically opposed to what Joe can and can't do. Next year it'll be a hockey tournament. which, by the way, we can still arrange. Already got the logo: http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/...2011/04/ref.jpg

So this Beep Ball field, come to find out we overheard someone saying later that we let them use a floodplain. That makes more sense now.

joe on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 1:13 PM

I came very close multiple times to saying to people there I'm blind not retarded.

So the pitchers job is to throw the ball at your bat. Underhand toss from maybe 20 feet away. I got hit in the hand by a pitch today. I was very upset at how horrible the pitcher was making this a disaster for the media

Just to store cans and bottles? No keg?

Don't need mich besides a door and shelves. Freezer works well fir frosty mugs.

So Beep Ball got a $700,000 grant. Apparently this wasn't enough to build a playground bathroom and deep ball field. The guy is campaigning for more money to build the playground. The league I am joining next month still has a registration fee to. This accounting does not make sense to me.

Phil on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 4:59 PM

no keg. Just beer bottles and soda. I found another model that's just black I can get for like $350 delivered after some liberal use of searching the internet for "lowes coupon codes".

I don't know if anybody watches the TV show Sullivan and Sons on TBS or not. I watch a lot of reruns of other shows on tbs so I seen the commercials. I want to know what the person on the production staff was thinking that said I know what will make season 2 a success add Margaret Cho.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2:06 PM

When is she coming on the show? Haven't seen her yet. It's good for a couple laughs but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Seems like the jokes and acting are way too forced. Don't really know why I still DVR it.

joe on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2:10 PM

I think that she guest stars this week.

General rule of thumb for me is don't watch any original programming on TBS.

douglas on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 4:49 PM

Haven't quite gotten into it like Joe, but I have come to like the head to head baseball league. Maybe rotisserie would be better if I knew who I was playing against but this seems a little more competitive and you don't have to pay attention every day.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 6:28 PM

I dont really pay attention to baseball anymore. If i need to pick someone up, just go for the guy scoring the most points.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 6:29 PM

Is the sci fantasy football league dead?

joe on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 8:51 PM

I would like to do head to head, but instead of total points you win each category. 10 categories whoever wins more categories categories wins.

joe on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 7:37 AM

David price yesterday gave up a base runner in the first on an error and he scored on a hit. 7 more innings and 9 strikeouts later he gave up no base runners. Dude still lost 1-0.

Complete game 1 hit no walk loss. Bullshit. The difference between a win and a loss here is a 10 point swing. I would be tied with Brent instead of down 10 points.

Brent on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 8:44 AM

What I like about fantasy baseball it gives you something to look at every day. I used to know nothing about baseball, now I know who the best pitchers/batters in baseball are. Also, when the trade deadline approached, it would have been another day that I couldnt have cared less, but this year, I was paying close attention to see where my players would end up. I feel like Lackey got a better deal being dealt to the Cards. Fantasy baseball wins in my book.

Chris, you dont have to worry about picking up players with your pitching rotation...Jesus.

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:04 PM

The category method may work like you pointed out, but doesn't it usually give you a win or loss for each category? The standings typically get out of hand quickly that way like rotisserie leagues.

joe on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:06 PM

Yes it typically does. I hate that.

Wrecking Crew on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:07 PM

My only complaint for this league would be pitcher scoring. I understand they're weighted differently because they only play every 5th day, but I think almost the 10 highest scorers in the league are pitchers before you get to the first position player. It has benefited me this year as Brent pointed out, but could be an issue.

Brock on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:18 AM

i have an idea for a product. I want to create a device that takes audio in and rips out the center channel and outputs it. That way you could get all the audio of a game without the announcers.

And then sell it to sports bars. I think if you could set something like that up where you have your surround speakers setup with the game going it'd sound pretty awesome.

Secondary idea - take games that have already been played and rip the announcers out to build ambient noise for sports bars to play.

Shark tank here I come

Wrecking Crew on Monday, September 01, 2014 at 10:08 AM

Total points over 2 weeks to decide the winner. You can change your lineup after the first week. As far as the consolation ladder, I don't know how that works.

Wrecking Crew on Monday, September 01, 2014 at 10:10 AM

Looks like I play Brent again and you have Bash Bros. After 2 weeks, the winners play each other in the championship

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at 8:40 AM

Brent, I like your strategy in fantasy baseball. It's a bold move leaving two starting spots open

i'm pretty happy with my fantasy draft despite the auto-draft. Glad I slacked off and preranked instead of doing real work. Most important thing I did - told the ESPN draft to only take 1 kicker and defense, and take them in the last two rounds.

Mari benavides on radi discussing coaches.

Krsgthotpe was wuegandt. Pro approach. Low reps and get thr work in on your own. Assume players are responsible enough to get thr eork in.

Made me think of 8 cuts a day in practice goes a long way. Better idea if we had a batting cage to get more reps in.

douglas on Friday, September 05, 2014 at 8:57 AM

joe on Friday, September 05, 2014 at 12:24 PM

Like Phil said, the beers are small. It was way to Applebee's or O'Charleys for me. Didnt Feel much like a bar. The service staff was clueless. They sat us, they told us they messed up and made us get up and then didn't seat us again for a while.

joe on Friday, September 05, 2014 at 12:27 PM

The Applebee's comparison is pretty much solely based on the fact that they have a lobby to sit and wait in and use the flashing red light pager system.

joe on Friday, September 05, 2014 at 12:28 PM

I will go back, but it will take some time.

Brock on Friday, September 05, 2014 at 10:51 PM

I had planned to go to Columbus for the UC-tOSU game, but tickets were over $100 for nose bleed and all I hear is how awful the fans are there. Instead, tickets for the UC-Miami game are $30 for lower bowl 25-yard line.

Needless to say, I will be spending my anniversary on the beach in FL and catching some football.

I am also very grateful that Nashville has direct Southwest flights to virtually anywhere east of the Mississippi, 'cep Louisville & Cincy. I'm a proponent for high-speed rail along the I-65 corridor.

Fuck DirectTV. Got the free trial of Sunday ticket last year when we signed up and they automatically renewed it this year. You'd think a package like that would have to be renewed by the customer and not the company. Anything to make a buck I guess. That would be a little understandable except you can't cancel it after the season starts even though I'm making monthly payments on it. Fuck that. It's still better than cable though.

Brock on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 6:17 PM

I have 2 tickets for both days, but have yet to find a taker on the second ticket. I'm 50/50 for day 2.

I definitely want to get there around 2pm - I've seen Theory of a Deadman (3:30p) before and they put on a good show.

I'll probably have someone drop me off on Saturday and just cab it back that night since it will just be down River Road.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:35 PM

Wasn't this supposed to be the payout?

Fantasy baseball payout:

1st $120

2nd $60

3rd $25

Winner reg season $25

Winner loser bracket $10

Most points against in the regular season $10

Don't I get $85 then? 25 for winning the regular season and 60 for second place.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:41 PM

Well, that was the email I got during the year. I see your note on the ESPN site now. Which way are we going with the payout?

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:44 PM

I disagree with the transaction counter. With as small of a bench as we have injuries could kill your season if there is a limit to transactions. I don't mind the 2 week playoff. It should give the better team an advantage.

joe on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:45 PM

What are you talking about with the transaction counter?

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 4:02 PM

If you look our league website he put a league manager note. Don't know if you can see it on the mobile. He thought the league could use a few tweaks...limiting the number of transactions you can make over the year, decreasing the worth of pitchers, changing the playoffs around. Those were the main ones.

joe on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 8:58 PM

Agree with value of the pitcher . Maybe set up a trade deadline and waiver deadline.

Brent on Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at 9:31 PM

Sorry about that guys, I actually said two different things for the payout on 8/1 and then a different one on 8/11. However, the payout on 8/11 is more in line with what I usually do for fantasy and is a lot more fair.

Unfortunately, we couldnt have a loser playoff bracket at least I didnt think there was one, someone please correct me if there was one, else Im going to give the $10 to the winner, so the final payout will look like:

Winner: Bash Bros: $120 + $10 = $130
2nd: Chicos BB: $60
3rd: Calif penal league AS: $25

all I know is what Tiffany said about it on Facebook. They are gone in less than a week.

Tiffany on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:13 AM

I will confirm since I happen to be on here today. Marc got a job in San Diego with Black Mountain Systems in Del Mar its in northern San Diego County. The reason he started looking is the company he and Phil work for have changed hands again as was sold to a new company and recently had been downsizing. They said his department was safe but I told him to apply some places and that one stuck. So we are leaving Monday morning to drive out west.

I was interviewed last night by WHaS sports reporter Whitney Harding at Beep Ball. I don't think she liked me when I asked the question if she replaced Adam lefkoe.

joe on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 8:10 AM

So the guy who is in charge of putting Beep Ball together in the state of Kentucky was at Beep Ball last night. He was talking to Laura and my mom about how he is determined to get me to the Paralympics. He was at Colorado Springs recently for some training on Paralympic sports. I don't think he realizes that I washed up has been athlete and not an up-and-coming athlete. I think the plan is to have me try every single sport until we find one that I am halfway decent at.

I am anticipating being demoralized by other blind people kicking my ass at everything. I am thinking tandem cycling I could be good at.

joe on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 4:28 PM

I was asking that question the other day. I was waiting for someone to say something to me about being interviewed on the news at 32 years old with a backwards baseball cap.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 4:52 PM

Fuck that, wear your hat like you want no matter how old you are. May just be the years of high school and college ball when we got punished for wearing it backwards, but I don't plan on changing.

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 4:53 PM

I could bitch about all these kids wearing the flat bill now. Will I get too old to bend the bill of may cap as much as I do?

Wrecking Crew on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 5:14 PM

remember the old starter or lids ads where it had 3 different bends going from the flat ("beat me up and take my lunch money") to the big bend ("don't look at me")

joe on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 6:07 PM

Flat bill is atrocious

joe on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at 6:09 PM

Only time you don't cooter your bill ridiculously is if you are trying to wear oskleys with a hat.

Phil on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 9:25 AM

i'll never forget my old boss and his cooter incident. I explained to him what "cootering your hat was" when we had free MaxASP hats. We were handing them out to Microsoft MVPs at a session and he got overly enthusiastic about showing one of the lady MVPs wearing the hat and bending the bill and said "come on, you gotta show us your cooter" without being slightly aware of what he just said.

joe on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 9:26 AM

The level of classiness I expect from your original owners.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 9:56 AM

Any idea where the term cooter comes from? Or how it applies to both? Does bending the bill of a baseball cap really look like a cooter? I don't think I should google cooter at work.

joe on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 10:25 AM

I always thought it was attributed to cooter from dukes af hazard for the hat.

douglas on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 11:05 AM

i got a new Bellarmine hat from the new coach a couple weeks ago when we had the BJ memorial. I love the look of it, but it's got a flat bill, and I can't make that fucking thing look good. So the only possible way for me to wear it is backwards

joe on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 11:27 AM

I miss low profile hats too.

Wrecking Crew on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at 12:16 PM

I've always wondered what a hospital would do if I started wearing a hat in the OR. People wear their own surgical caps, so I don't see what the problem would be if I wore a backwards baseball cap during surgery.

Wrecking Crew on Friday, November 07, 2014 at 2:49 PM

Personally, I think sweats and gym shorts should only be worn out of the house if you are going to the gym or doing yard work. I'm sure there are a few other very casual time to wear them too. Of course like the backwards hat who the fuck really cares what anyone else thinks.

Wrecking Crew on Friday, November 07, 2014 at 2:50 PM

Cut off sleeves? How old is too old? I've pretty much stopped wearing them to the gym, but still cut grass with them.
