That's sort of like plagiarizing a comic strip.

Trivia night, so I need to improve my learnin'.

  • World Nations and their Capitals.  Stewie will be out tonight, so hopefully the geography he's learned from watching the NHL Draft will help us out.  But might as well hedge our bets with the world capitals quiz.
  • MLB Baseball all-time leaders in batting and pitching.  The active player that has two seasons in the all-time strikeout totals?  Jose Hernandez.  And Nolan Ryan had three seasons in the top 10 in base on balls.

In news that is sure to please Mindy, Ireland has banned smoking in pubs.

Microsoft has dropped the X-Box price to $149 starting tomorrow:

Looks like Louisville has dropped the idea for a smoking ban, and instead options to charge businesses that allow smoking TWO HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS a year. And they have to post a sign indicating if they allow smoking or not.

Hell, it is more economically sound than the Irish smoking ban

Phil on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 5:46 AM

Oh, and Mindy, I was wrong about the NYC smoking ban. But kinda shady data being used to prove it, so I don't know what's going on there.;partner=GOOGLE

Stupid soccer update....I know most of you laugh at soccer but Wednesday at 12:00 I think the US National Team is playing a grudge match against Poland on ESPN2...This is the team that beat us during the last World Cup...Maybe you don't like soccer much but this team represents the United States and a national match is similar to the Olympics in that you can watch it and chear for your country...Anyone that can watch it live or tape it and watch it later should...Also Saturday is the debut of 14 old sensation Freddy Adu known as possibly the best young player in the world in years and he is a US citizen and playing for DC United of MLS..The game I believe is on regular tv and again anyone who wants to see what soccer can be about should tune it...Also I will be coming in town friday night since my wife is in France spending time with her family. So if you all are going out drinking and would like to meet up with some people possibly or I will be hanging out with my little brother at Bellarmine if not...So especially Matt give me a call in Richmond sometime this week and let me know...

Stewie is coming out next week. Looks like a grudge match between Natty Sci and the Legion

That World Capitals quiz is ridiculously easy, it won't help you all in trivia next week

Church on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 7:27 AM

Church on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 10:23 AM
