The appetizer that deserves it's own post

With work footing the bill for food, Applebees simply got abused this week.  I'm talking Ribs and Shrimp one night, with Steak and Ribs the next.  I think the minimum I spent was $20 bucks not including tip for dinner every night.  Without a doubt, I was living the highlife.  And that's when my life changed forever.  It was Thursday - my last day in town.  So I knew I had to milk the expense report thing for all it's worth.  And that's when I decided, I'm trying the Cheesy Bacon Tavern Chips, aka the best damn food ever.  Described as "Our house-fried Tabasco-seasoned chips are loaded with an unbelievable mixture of creamy Jack and Cheddar, bacon pieces and green onions. Served with our Mexi-ranch dipping sauce for some added zip" I ate the whole damn thing in like 4 minutes.  Holy crap it was good.

I was looking at the searches that have managed to reach us.  My favorites:

  • are chi s conflict plays that have 2 people and are aloud for school and would only take 2 minutes to act out and that have pictutres like 1 in the magazine
i can understand someone thinking google could answer their question about these "chi's," but what dumbass would think google would know how to answer a question where you use "like 1" instead of "like one"
  • non-american athletes who dont live in united states
um, like europeans?  or those mexican / chinese people I've been hearing about
  • herpies
man, what a shitty day it would be to take a piss, feal the burn and think "fuck, I better check google..."
  • phagophobe
i think if you use the term phagophobe, you just might be one
  • sanitation medicine education wine public order irrigation roads the fresh water system and public health
i can only assume someone wants to introduce wine into the fresh water system to improve sanitaion, medicine and education.  replace with beer, and maybe we'll talk.
  • mark loves the cock
    universally true for all mar(c|k)s.
  • tcu rumor squirrels
    their tiny dicks would fit.
  • bagging in the crotch -cricket -store -supermarket -grocery
    right....
  • doctor ruined my life potatoes tittsburg
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
  • i need a bad ass site that has really cool stuff in it
you came to the right place, bitches
  • bow hunting calenders 2004
you came to the wrong place, redneck bitches
  • munchkinville louisville ky
located just north of Crazy Camp
  • tenneshoes
dear god, there is more than one
  • hikes point lounge
would you like directions?  and maybe some help in the bathroom?
  • stuff to do instead of work
    whaaaaaaaaaaat?  us?

this week was a nattysci.com record in terms of visits and the such. certainly helped by traffic driven from big matt church: http://www.trivialanglophile.blogspot.com/

One of church's buddies also is the big pimp for linking to us too: http://rhinos-safari.blogspot.com/

but, fuck if i know who that is

Phil on Friday, April 30, 2004 at 5:00 PM

never mind, my "channel 5 action news" style investigative reporting skills are about 99% that this so called rhino is none other than Tom Jones aka Pete aka Jeff Hostetler's illegitimate love child.

and pete, this is of the utmost importance. can you confirm or deny that this was written by Matt Church's special lady: http://www.sarahspace.com/archives/000476.html

For the record, Nicole Richie, who is much hotter in person, gave NattySci the courtesy of a reach around...Twice!!!...YEEEAAAH!!!

Oh yeah, Philco, have you got the taste of Chris Redman's cock out of your mouth yet...

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming last night and thanks for bringing alcohol to share. Big thanks to the people that helped clean some stuff up, and Bambi "the stainmaster" gets a special shout out for containing/cleaning the great lake of champagne on my couch.

Okay now there is one thing that bothers me so I am going to step and and say it. I felt bad for Marc and Kellie last night. Now don't get me wrong, Kellie says some pretty krazy shit and yeah I with the rest of everyone has said some shit about her being krazy and coming with comments from left field somewhere. I am not saying people shouldn't make reference to her kraziness because we make reference to everyone being crazy and our stupid antics, there is no harm in that. HOW-FUCKING-EVER, WHEN PEOPLE ARE JUST PLAIN MEAN TO HER THAT IS FUCKING-CROSSING THE LINE. PERHAPS PEOPLE SHOULD LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE IN MARC'S SHOES? NO WONDER WHY MARC DOESN'T ALWAYS COME OUT BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE JUST GOING TO BE MEAN TO HIS GIRL, AND HONESTLY I CANNOT SAY THAT I BLAME HIM. GOD-FUCKING-DAMN SHE IS A PERSON, PEOPLE AND EVEN THOUGH SHE IS KRAZY AT TIMES (NO OFFENSE, MOST OF THE TIME), SHE STILL DESERVES BETTER THAN HOW SHE IS TREATED BY SOME OF US.

AND FOR THE RECORD, IF ANYONE HAS A MOTHER-FUCKING PROBLEM WITH WHAT I SAID ON HERE TODAY, YOU KNOW HOW TO GET A HOLD OF ME, I'M NOT HARD TO FIND! STEALING ONE FROM ADRIAN - AND I'M OUTTY!

KellyHarrison on Sunday, May 02, 2004 at 11:04 AM

thanks wes! hey, i didn't get sick this time!

Metallica ROCKS! GODSMACK is awesome in concert! Hofbrauhaus beer is good! What a freakin' Saturday! Congrats to Smarty Jones for muscling out LionHeart and proving that sometimes favorates actually do win the derby.

Obviously some people need to have another Sci Group Therapy session.

adrian on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 4:53 AM

This morning's paper, that ass pirate from the Backstreet Boys Kevin Richardson, apparently him and his wife came to derby in a MayBach. That has to really suck.

hoban on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 6:33 AM

I agree about the new tavern chips. We went to APplebees two nights ago and damn they were fine... But the fact that they don't count for 1/2 price put them down a notch

Phil on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 6:38 AM

the applebee's half off appetizer thing seemed almost random to me. I think it started at like 4:30 in Cinci, but here in Louisville I think only some of them even participate in the wonders of half-off apps.

Bastards.

hoban on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 7:14 AM

In Frankfort where we just moved they have 1/2 price drinks and appetizers from 4-7 and 10 to close...very nice for late night snacking and drinking...but we have yet to find a fine irish pub for real drinking

hoban on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 7:20 AM

Unless the appetizer is a new one, aka the new chips, then they do not count...and that is why the boneless buffalo wings are still the best..

Phil, you all still getting a lot of hits from my website. I have about fifteen from the sci site today

Phil on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 9:45 AM

Proposed team name:

"Only here to watch 10.5 in glorious HDTV."

Phil on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 9:47 AM

church: 17 hits from your site so far for the week.

Church on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 9:55 AM

I will see what I can do about keeping the traffic up. See you all at trivia tonight.

Brock on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 10:02 AM

10.5 - The greatest movie ever!

The Space Needle collapses, the Golden Gate Bridge collapses, Beau Duke digs his way out of a buried Ford Explorer, what else can you ask for?

Well.. maybe some decent acting, but who doesn't like it when every woman in a movie bitches and moans whenever they have a line? This is why war movies are good... women in catastrophic movies tend to be annoying as hell: Tea' Leone in Deep Impact, Liv Tyler in Armaggedon, that bitch in Twister (not Helen Hunt, ok, maybe Helen Hunt too), the girl in Jurassic Park, Ally Sheey in Short Circuit, and of course, the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones in Volcano.

Bigworm on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 10:20 AM

Well woke up with migrane headache today and felt like my head was going to explode. After that subsided, I played a 4 man game of risk by myself, man I'm a loser.

Phil on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 11:17 AM

More classic scenes from 10.5 if you missed it:

the earthquake "chasing the train tracks" as an amtrack train (i.e, an HO scale model) races along. Queue the Tremor's style footage of racing through the dirt. The quake "swallows" the train, and stops. Gotcha, Amtrack!

the governors aide jumping on top of the governor so the dry wall that is collapsing doesn't kill her. Way to take some dry wall for the governor.

The "gas bubble" scene. Crazy geologist and her whipped husband go searching for evidence of deeper faults when they find dead wolves. What could have killed them? GAS BUBBLES!!! They race to the car where they have to frantically search for gas masks. The two of those damns things were so big they had to take up half the back seat. They escape due to the wonders of the ford explorer's air conditioner.

Charlie from the West Wing telling two people within one minute that "We need to talk. "

Other great scenes...The president telling the german embassador that they'll have to rescedule their meeting for a fourth time because "his people come first." USA USA USA USA!!!

My mom blurting out "watch out hot wheels!" as the golden gate bridge collapses.

Good times...good times.

Brock on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 11:32 AM

I now feel awful... because I remember every one of those scenes... which is pretty good for someone who didn't want to watch as I was busy destroying the Babylonian empire with my Panzer tanks. (Yes, Wes... we are both losers!)

I too was amazed at the trench chasing the model train, but even more amazed at how it stopped just after it all fell in. Classic Michelle quote: "Can't they feel the earth shaking on the train? Get out of the way!" Damn trains for not being as dependable or have as much steering as the Great Ford Explorer during massive earthquakes.

Tremors tid bit: Fred Ward plays FEMA director wonderfully just like he played Earl!

Which Bridges is playing the president? Beau? Just like Beau Duke? I'll vote for Pat Buchanan before I vote for Beau Bridges. Jeff Bridges, hell yeah, Big Lebowski! What the hell happened to Daniel Baldwin!

10.Baldwin!

Brock on Monday, May 03, 2004 at 12:10 PM

VIDEOS OF THE DAY
http://tinyurl.com/yvft9

NOTE: If you want to share these videos with your close friends please feel free to do so. even download them to your computer if you wish. just please don't post to larger well-established sites that might cause too much traffic (ie: fark, ebaumsworld, milkandcookies) because I don't want to take the chance of anything bad happening. Also there can be possible copyright issues even though these are broadcasted free on the airwaves. thanks

(1) This cellphone can listen to music and tell you what is the songtitle and artist. Cool, right? well it'll be free the first time $.99 each time after. Hey isn't it that much for the whole damn song nowadays?

(2) Lindsey Lohan's (Jay's new unappropriate love) was on SNL displaying her rather large.........abilites. (Harry Potter spoof.) Very funny. NOTE: it she is goes to objectify herself like this, then men have the right to ogle her with the eyes and minds. Therefore, Jay is okay.

(3) Oddball news: Big Rigs protest by blocking interstates, evangelist death match, even my own college hometown gets into it, when citizens are allowed to now write parking tickets.

Enjoy.

In regards to Phil's post on violence in Cincy... when is there not?

That place is only about 5 miles from where I live. However, this whole situation really pisses me off. Are these people seriously trying to start a war with the police? Explain to me why people try to shoot the people that are there to protect them? The worst thing about this whole thing is that people actually feel like they have to shoot at the police when they hear gunfire.

I do have to give those officers credit. If I was one of them, and some assclown shoots at me from a crowd, I'm bringing in the riot gear and beating down the entire neighborhood!

Brock on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 9:20 AM

I love how Eli Manning's hyperlinks just send email to amazon.com or espn.go.com. Brilliant!

And what the hell is this graph Philip Rivers has on its page, it makes no sense. I'm sure he just had some girl make an excel graph and he scanned it in, or had her scan it in. What the hell am I talking about? He didn't do shit... he had someone else do it.

Phil on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 9:32 AM

eli manning made his homepage in Word, so if you view the source where you can find interesting info such as he spent 65 minutes working on that page.

To Eli's credit, he did graduate early, was in grad school this season and was rumored to go to law school instead of the chargers.

Jay on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 11:03 AM

Oh my god! That Mario Guitar thing is awsome. You realize I now have to find tab for that on the internet. Thanks a lot, Phil.

Jay on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 11:10 AM

Wow. That was fast. This is the first page that came up when I typed in "Mario Brothers" + "guitar tablature" on the internet. Does that guy look familiar?
http://minutillo.com/steve/weblog/2...-guitar-version
Here is the page with guitar tab for any mario music you could ever want...except the bad ass version that japanese guy plays. Oh well.
http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/tabs.shtml

Dween on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 11:31 AM

I can't read guitar tabs very well, though I can muddle through them a little. I especially like ones that show chord names above the tabs.

But I digress... as a former piano player, I find I can read sheet music a little more easily. The industrious person who owns this page transcribed the music himself, and has a decent amount of songs available in pdf sheet music:

http://individual.utoronto.ca/auyeu...sheetmusic.html

Marc on Tuesday, May 04, 2004 at 11:45 AM

phil, given what you've told me. Since I missed the awe-inspiring 10.5 movie on tv. perhaps i should make a dvd of it.....with commentary by the Scott family.

But if i did that then Jay would wnat SNL with Lindsey Lohan, with porn music soundtrack. or jay would have his own commentary where he just starts making weird noises, leaves the room to get more Kleanix tissues, make more slap-happy sounds and takes a nap during the musical numbers.

Bigworm on Thursday, May 06, 2004 at 3:32 PM

Brock,

I think you forgot "Shoot it all over me".

Tom Jones on Thursday, May 06, 2004 at 4:30 PM

Phil-on your 3rd post to this site, that is one of Church's "Special Lady Friends", but he's only trying to help her conceive man.

A fellow Shamus? You mean like an Amish Monk?

KellyHarrison on Thursday, May 06, 2004 at 9:03 PM

what is lmao?

Tom Jones on Friday, May 07, 2004 at 5:57 AM

Laughing My Ass Off. Jeez Kelly-now aren't you glad I am not dead?

Jay on Friday, May 07, 2004 at 3:33 PM

Tom, or Pete, whatever, I think I can speak for the entire roster of natty sci when I say that for once we agree 100% with Kellie when she said "Why don't you just die!"

Church on Friday, May 07, 2004 at 3:36 PM

Big Jizay what's up

Jay on Friday, May 07, 2004 at 3:48 PM

Not much, Matt. How about you...dawg...

Church on Friday, May 07, 2004 at 6:44 PM

Same old, Same old, just waiting for the day when someone gives me a million dollars and I can retire

Tom Jones on Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 7:11 AM

Yeah, but if I die, I am pulling out one of my guns getting a 50 round clip and taking some of you mofo's with me. How about that one?

In all seriousness, I can't die yet, according to Kellies crap link to the death clock site, I still have 60 more years to live. Sorry-can't argue with the numbers Jay

KellyHarrison on Sunday, May 09, 2004 at 2:20 PM

if it's a crappy sight, then the numbers can well be altered.
i want purple jello shots this next weekend! those are damn good! not as good as jagear, but still good.

Phil on Sunday, May 09, 2004 at 6:22 PM

Jello Shots are easy to make. I can even prepare them: http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/2200

KellyHarrison on Sunday, May 09, 2004 at 7:18 PM

thanks, i saved a copy of it to my file on my computer. this will be something else i can make besides sweet and sour chicken without messing it up.
gatlinburg was awesome! my favorite parts were the chair lift going up the mountain and the aquarium. i also liked the ozzy osbourn look alike in the hardrock cafe.
the poor waitors and waitresses had to do the YMCA and the handjive etc. don't know if that's two words or one.
managed to get at least one picture of marc without him knowing until i told him. then got a picture of us going up the chair lift.
people are actually nice and let you cross the streets over there. the people have the right away most of the time which is weird. over here people would rather run you over than be nice and let you go even if you do have the right away.
anyway, that's all i gotta say for now.
oh, schools out! hell fuckin' yeah! sorry, a little excited about that.

Marc on Sunday, May 09, 2004 at 8:31 PM

phil, i liked how your Jello shot recipe has a link to explain what water is.

by the way we are making dihydrogen monoxide detectors to sell, since it is an untalked about killer. we feel we need to give people a good warning system so that the deadly effects of dihydrogen monoxide doesn't harm any more families.

adrian on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 4:58 AM

I will take four detectors. Hell make it five (one for my car) because we all know how two hydrogens and one oxygen is a serious threat to Man Kind.

mowgli on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 5:18 AM

Really the danger is in Hydrogen Hyroxide!

mowgli on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 5:19 AM

doh! hydroxide

Phil on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 6:14 AM

i was a little disturbed with the thought of using bottled water to make jello shots. isn't everclear used to "purify" the water?

or at least make you invinvible?

Phil on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 6:34 AM

errr, that should read or at least make you invincible?

i guess my fingers thought i ment invisible, and tried to combine the two words.

Tom Jones on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 7:47 AM

Wasn't the Hydrogen Hydroxide bit on Bullshit with Penn&Teller? They went around getting people at Earth Day to ban it and a bunch of people signed it. Then the signees were told that they just banned water. Now that is a quality show

Phil on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 7:57 AM

Cheat Commandos. Rock, Rock On!
http://www.homestarrunner.com/cheatcommando.html

Marc on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 8:08 AM

that is Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid (H2O, two hydrogen one oxygen)
http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html

although Bullshit! is a good show. i like the following ones: Peta, alien abductions, scare tactics, recycling, talking to the dead, and more. good show, thursdays on showtime, since someone asked about it previously, not on here.

Tom Jones on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 8:45 AM

The show is great. I hope they put it on DVD.

I thought the Scare Tactics was a really good one-with Teller ending up in that box guarded by 6 guys with M16's

Marc, you getting lunch today?

Phil on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 9:11 AM

i'm not teaching. if you guys get some food, give me a call.

Marc on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 9:55 AM

tv on dvd has been going rampant. simpson, southpark, xfiles, star trek, angel, and other have done very very well on dvd. Hell, the sales of the family guy on dvd is one of the sole reasons the show will be back on the air. but they're making it for almost every shaw now. it's good to be able to see shows from long ago that you might want to see again. but some shows might be watched on reruns on tv, but might not get many sales. can you imagine people buying, Full House, Family Matters, Growing Pains, Just the 10 of Us, Perect Strangers, or Home Improvement on dvd? no, but they are decent to watch in syndication. however great old show can combac. but show does some old crap. Like I know we are all counting the days till Boy Meet World comes out in August. but who cares about Who's the Boss coming out in a coupl of weeks. oh well. maybe if they have a Alisa Milano nude deleted scene i'd watch it once. but those boobs can be seen many places (embrace of the vampire, poison ivy 2, etc) oh well.

Tom Jones on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 10:56 AM

Thanks for the link Phil. I may have to go buy that her ein the near future

Marc on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 12:59 PM
